How should having a job effect your training?Ameatars fight way more often than pros do,for the most part.Do any of you have any problems getting days off, being tired at work,or having work negatively affect your training/fight schedule?
simply just man up, some days you will be tired at training others you will be tired at work. If you really want to box, it wont matter. I work 6 days a week, 10 hours a day. I go straight to training from work and then train for atleast 2 hours. I leave my house at 6am and dont get home till 8pm usually, sometime later. I suppose it depends on your boss if you will be able to get time off, what sort of work do you do?
I work at Wal-Mart.It sucks i work every weekend and its been tough getting time off for fights in the past.
you only work weekends?? Most people who box either work or study. Everyone else seems to be able to do it, why should you be any different. Find a job that is monday to friday and you will have no problem with your fights
What is meant to be said was said, all i tell you is when you feel tired its all in the head you say to urself so can say to urself you didn't do to well cause ur tired from this and that
I was in university, its very stressful and time consuming, no steady schedule in reality, if you actually care enough to work hard and do a solid degree. I then worked for a year 9-5 in industry (sitting at a desk, on a computer), bar some mobility/flexibility issues that need to be countered (stretch and move whenever possible as you seize up), its by far better than being in school.
A desk job would be ideal, true, but they're really hard to come by for guys in their late teens/early 20's. As a student your schedule varies but it's typically within the 8-6 range, so you've almost always got time for boxing after school and running before. Plus you've got the weekends off for fights and you have the option of just not going to class if you feel like ****. Also, depending on where you go to school, you might get to do a good amount of walking in between classes, which keeps you loosened up and burns a few extra calories. I'll take that over sitting on my ass 9-5, but primarily because I have attention-span issues (downside is you don't get paid to go to school. Unless you work the system right :good)
I'm in school, I have NO time. Day starts at 5am ends at 6pm then have to study or else if I fail I get discharged from the military... plus the gas here in San Antonio is ridiculous
Pawel Wolak is a roofer. then goes to the gym. I did the same thing, yes its tough and tiring, but in my experiences I worked harder at the gym. Today I do just school and gym.
LOL,stop. When did I say "I hit like Mike Tyson"?You keep exaggertating what I said in that other thread....
