Regardless. These 4 fighters have done something special and they've done it without playing the A-Side.

This is a great era of boxing.

There isn't a single name on Crawford's resume that anybody will care about in 15 years. Not one. By the way, I like Crawford, but never had the dance partners.

I disagree. I don't think it's a matter of "regardless". Boxing is and always will be about who you fought and when you fought them.

You don't have to agree with me. It's boxing, it's subjective. We're all entitled to our opinions.

I'm thankful I've been a fan in an era where 4 men have been so dominant without pull A-Side shenanigans. Time will tell if Inoue can keep it going as he rises through the divisions, but the other 3 have almost wrapped up their careers now.

I guess, but there were a few meaningful fights he was involved in. His run at 135 was pretty good. Then the Postol fight and undisputed with Indongo. And while Indongo was a mediocre boxer who overachieved, the undisputed fight still holds a lot of weight. And then there is the Spence fight too.
But there were such long caps in meaningful fights, that it makes his entire career pretty underwhelming. Spence was the biggest fight of his career and what happens next? A year out of the ring... Wtf?

For all of his talents and skill, Crawford did little for boxing.

Usyk has only one hater in the whole of boxing and it's you.

Everyone else realises he doesn't actually have anything to criticise.

He's a great role model, he's always fought the best, he's always been the B-side, he's cleaned out two divisions.

Even those who doubted him have watched him twice beat the two beat SHW fighters of the post Wlad era.

Your hatred of Usyk is fascinating.

Usyk is basically 38. He turns 38 on Jan 17, just four days before Beterbiev turns 40

He should absolutely retire he's won everything there is to win amateur and pro and achieved everything there is to achieve: Olympic gold, World Amateur gold, European gold. WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO CW champ, WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO HW champ. Multi-weight champ, undisputed champ at two weights.

He's also earned an obscene amount of money in his last few fights after being criminally underpaid for a man of his talents and accomplishments for most of his career and his style is not one which ages well.

And he won every medal, trophy and belt the hard way, in his opponent's backyards and on the road and even though HW is only one division (or two if you count BW) North of CW in reality he's campaigning way outside his natural weight class because obviously HW is the highest weight category there is and one where the weight and size disparity between two fighters can be absolutely obscene

And he didn't just move up to the land of giants to cherrypick a belt like so many other multi-weight champs and greats did, as with CW, he locked his sights on the best fighters and champions at the weight and fought them on a deck stacked against him and he stuck around at the weight

And if he were to lose at 38, 39, 40 y/o etc. against one these giants, and the rules are he has to play by are he has to give them as many attempts to beat him until they achieve the desired result, there are so many vultures who are begging and praying for his demise and that solitary loss will be deemed the equivalent of 100 losses for their favs and idols in terms of legacy destroying. That's how high the bar is set for him even though they consider him inferior.

He's never going to get the respect of them and many others or the respect he would 100% get if he was from other parts of the world so just sail off into the sunset while he's at the top and leave them seething

It's literally the perfect time to get out

What does Usyk has to do with Beterbiev beating Bivol ? Or it's not true that only Beterbiev beat another P4P boxer in the list ?

As talented as he is you're right... no one will give a damn about the Spence win , cos he was clearly damaged goods.. i mean he's had TWO fights (including Bud) since 2020 LOL.. how the fk is that a 'p4p' win? It's 2025! That's Crawford's best win. Look at Khan & Brook.. they too were well past their best.. inactive, shopworn & damaged goods. Whichever way you cut it the condition of Crawford's opponents was awful. Call me a hater but that's just a fact.

The record books won't say anything about somebody's opinion on a boxer being damaged goods

    It's a meaningful win

Spence had years make the fight and chose not to

It's in him if he wasn't peak

Bud was ready to beat him up at any point in time

There's nothing wrong with it generally, it's just that now three weight classes are going to be left in a void full of guys who could never beat 'the guy'. Tho I guess I'm 50/50 on Crawford, because he's quite inactive and does have a lot of possible fights around him that he's just never going to be active enough to get through, so he's going to be retiring with less of a dominance factor
