Careful though, once you get the surgery, theres a time period in which you can't box.

I thought I also read somewhere that the surgery actually weakens the retina.

 

Once you have corrective eye surgery, a lot of states athletic commissions will refuse to give you a boxing license.

not true

i box with contacts, and i've only had them come out a few times. it usually happens from a shot that comes from the side and hits you in the corner of the eye

sometimes they get shifted around and you have to blink a little to get them back into place, which is annoying
