Boxing with Injuries

    What fights do you remember whereby boxers have had injuries yet still managed to win?

    I remember watching Danny Williams fighting with a dislocated shoulder knocking someone out - Fraudly KO'd Sprott with the same injury, also, David Haye himself said he was unable to dispatch of Valuev because he hurt his hand early on (aww bless!) -

    Any other examples????

    Oh, I believe Tyson fought after having broken the spinal or thpinal part of his back.

    Not a winner but a valiant effort by Ali in 73 after having his jaw broken by Ken Norton in an NABF 12 rounder.


    I've seen several fights where hands were broken and the fighter went on to win.

    I think it was more like a broken jaw since he was bleeding and his jaw looked ****ed up. I think he has titanium or something in his jaw.

    A lot of guys have fought through injuries. Broken hands, fingers, bad cuts, busted ear drums, fractured ribs, injured knee, its more common than not

    Joe Gans broke his hand in about round 25 against Battling Nelson and won by DQ in round 42.

    Back in those pioneer days with marathon fights injuries where common. I've never seen a report about a broken pinkytoe though..............
