I thought Lara would win. I think he won and boxed beautifully (obviously he could have let his hands go more).

However Lara at the upper echelon of the sport and possibly being involved in more PPVs would be a disaster for boxing. He is someone hardcore fans of the sport can appreciate as he truly embodies the sweet science.

Casual fans want to see violence and lots of action. Canelo provides that and he is willing to fight the best.

As much as I love the American Dream boxing won tonight... Canelo the future rolls on.

Yes Lara is boring as ****, just runs, nearly as boring as Rigondeaux don't want to see that **** on ppv.

What sweet science really means to the members of this board is being black, and fighting with a very conservative style while barely engaging.

the reason boxing is pretty much dead these days is because of people with your mentality. you embrace the corrupt boxing officiating that has plagued this sport. i can guarantee you that more potential fans were turned off from this sport and will never take it seriously because of the way this fight was judged. in baseball, football, soccer and basketball the winner is determined by the score. in boxing, a decision is determined by the judges...that's ok so long as the judging is FAIR. but decisions like this basically tell people that it regardless of what actually happens in the ring, the favorite, the money guy, the marquee star will always win, unless he gets ko'd and even then, in some cases they still find a way for him to win.

Yes, boxing won tonight....................Lara refused to even try to fight, all he did was run and thought he should win the fight by running. Lara should go to track & field..................

ONE PUNCH FROM ALVAREZ DID MORE DAMAGE THAN ALL OF LARA'S PUNCHES PUT TOGETHER, NOT TO MENTION THE BODY PUNCHES!!! If not for Alvarez there would have been no fight...................

he'll never fight on tv again thank god.

Rigo stood in like a man and beat down nonito…he wasn't boring that night at all. This erislandy lara is something else…not a single person believes in their hearts that he won.
