    100% true

Canelo is still 10x the draw of GGG

    Thats the bottom line

    Michael Benson is correct.

GGG wanting 50/50 is unrealistic, however as a negotiating tactic it's not necessarily a problem. GBP current offer is 65-35, I can see why Golovkin wants a bit more. For info, in the first fight Golovkin got just over 30%.

If GBP offer 40% and Golovkin declines I will be critical of him, but asking for more than 35% is OK. Remember GBP also started with ridiculously low offers for the first fight ($10 million, $12 million, 20%, etc.).

TS is just upset cos GGG blocked him on twitter & had him removed from his next-door neighbors tree last night for masturbating into a birds nest..

That's common sense and logic bro.

A lot of these GGGoons and haters respond with emotion so 1. It hinders their credibility, and 2. They can't make logical thoughts when they're full of spite for Canelo and man-love for GGG.

He's not wrong. Just because people perceived you won the first fight doesn't mean you become the bigger draw. It can strengthen your negotiating position to ask for a bigger split 2nd time round but 50/50 is a stretch.

But having said that, Lewis got 50/50 when he rematched Holyfield, though there is a bigger gulf in drawing power between Canelo and GGG than there was between Lewis and Holyfield.

GGG is the one I'm cheering for when the fight starts but Canelo is clearly the draw. 65-35 is still a lot of money and if GGG is dead set on 50-50 he doesn't want the fight

Lool some people dont understand the basics. You're given 35% just like last time but now you have to pay Derevyanchenko step aside money because Canelo popped dirty...so you ask for 50% to obtain 45%-40% . Thats all...they just playing poker

He pretty much,A side thing seems to be as much about being the bigger draw,Golovkin will have a sulk,Canelo will fight Spike and then Golovkin will take what he’s offered for next May and if that 60/40 I think that’s a bloody good deal.

    FACTS:

Golovkin-Clenelo did a higher gate and more PPVs than Clenelo-Cotto. As such, Golovkin is the key piece in Clenelo making his highest paycheck ever.

Clenelo NEEDS Golovkin for legacy and to prove that he is clean. As of now, the popular opinion is that he was gifted with a draw and he's a drug cheat. If he doesn't fight Golovkin, it harms him in the history books.

We know that Clenelo's reputation is in the toilet. We just don't know how much his marketability has taken a hit. If he fights BJS, Spike, or Jacobs, he's going to be lucky to sniff Lara-like numbers (200-300K).
