Boxing, your number 1 sport. Has Boxing been your number sport for awhile or only recently. Does Boxing rank higher than other sports such as Basketball, Football, Baseball, etc...
Boxing has been my #1 sport since I was a child (A long time ago!!). Lately I have been disenchanted with certain fighters, and fights not being made, but it is still my favourite sport. My #2 sport is mma! #3 sport is NFL, which I love (Despite being a Brit!!). And I understand the rules. I'm not a huge fan of basketball or baseball (Though Ice Hockey is okay). Being a "Geordie" I love Newcastle United Football (Soccer) Club, despite them being shite, and run by a greedy fat wanker!!
Boxing is the only sport I really follow. I get really annoyed with team sports. (yes I know boxing is a team sport, but at the end of it all, at go time, its 1 vs 1)
1- Boxing 2- Futbol Futbol used to be my favorite, but when I got into boxing, it became a very distant second.
yep boxing is 1st, MMA fills the gap when there is no boxing to watch and I dont mind watching football.
Boxing (From a Boxer) is the only sport that takes such an inhumane amount of endurance, technique and focus. There are no stops to really regain breath. The one minute break is more of show than anything. Only for a fighter who was beaten towards the end of a round or to figure out a mistake your corner can capitalize on. Basketball, Football and others are not as tolling and you can just....stop, break for a quarter when hurt, have a replacement and relax for half-time. Boxing is my number 1 sport. Basketball is next because of Kobe and Wade. They make it a science. Then is...nothing really.
Boxing has always been #1. I do follow American football and baseball quite a bit also. But boxing will always be #1. That is saying a lot because it's kind of hard to be a fan at times due to lack of matchups between fighters. Also the lack of mainstream reporting of the sport doesn't help. It also is hard to follow because I only have one friend that watches boxing. It shows what a great sport it truly is though considering it has all the things I listed making it hard to follow and yet it's still my favorite sport.
In boxing second place sucks. You can play football, basketball, baseball, golf, et al. No one in their right mind "plays" boxing. In most sports if you get hurt, the coach puts you on the bench, and sends in a replacement. In boxing if you get hurt - - - well - - - you get hurt some more. Prize fighters are true warriors, and the last vestiges of the gladitorial games.
Boxing and baseball are about equal for me. I enjoy boxing more but the combo of having a particular team that I have always followed and the fact that I have no friends at all that watch boxing puts baseball neck and neck with boxing.
I follow Boxing, Formula 1, NBA, NFL, Pro Cycling. There's so much great stuff happening right now, why limit yourself to just one sport? Boxing - Manny vs Floyd, Floyd vs Mosley, Manny vs Clottey, ***** vs ******* F1 - the return of 7 times World Champ Schumacher NBA - Lebron and Shaq wtf pwn the Lakers NFL - Saints vs Colts, will Reggie Bush prove his worth? Cycling - Team Radioshack, aka round two of Armstrong vs Contador There's so much cool **** going on man.
Boxing's been my favorite sport since I was a teenager back in the early 90's. Only other sports I really care about are Hockey and MMA.
