of course brits do, it's where we get all our olympic golds - esp the track> and team sky is getting crazy coverage in the sports pages.
Boxing has been one of my favorite sports to watch since the late 90's. I credit boxers such as Luisito Espinosa, Arturo Gatti, Evander Holyfield, Roy Jones, David Tua, Marco Antonio Barrera in the late 90's. I'm glad 2000-2009 was a great generation in boxing. I became a bigger fan of boxing due to several new boxers such as Manny Pacquiao, Joe Calzaghe, Ricardo Mayorga, Sugar Shane Mosley, Jorge Arce, Miguel Cotto, Yuriorkis Gamboa, Paulie Malignaggi, Erik Morales, Juan Manuel Marquez, Acelino Freitas, Winky Wright, Carlos Baldomir, Vic Darchinyan, etc.... Boxing was definitely something. Saturday Night was Boxing Night only. Plus, MMA, Group Sports and Individual Sports are right up there with Boxing.
Boxing by Far and Basketball is a distant second(huge Laker fan they are whupping on Indiana right know) Football 3rd but i wont hold my day to watch a game.
1) Football 2) Boxing . . . 3) Futbol . . . . . . . . 4) Basketball . . . . . . . . . . . . Everything else...
Boxing has always been my favorite sport although I'm not as fanatical as I used to be since my all-time favorites are all long retired(I'm an old man-48).I started watching it in about 1969.My favorite "team" sport is rugby union-besides my home Club-#1 for me is Munster as I'm a fanatic, and the Irish National side would be #2.I love watching A Selecao in footie and follow Brazilian players throughout Europe.I have a relatively passing interest in MMA,Gaelic football, hurling, basketball,American football,Aussie rules and baseball.
Boxing and NBA is my favorite sport... BUT i also like football, soccer, MMA, hockey, baseball, billiards and others specially during special events or playoffs...
Basketball = #1 Boxing = #2 Yankees/Baseball = #3 (Bronx born and raised Yankee fan for life...no frontrunning) I also enjoy Soccer from time to time.
Boxing is my no.1 sport but up to about 5 years ago it was football (soccer). I grew up playing football and being surrounded by football but I wish I was given a pair of boxing gloves instead. I first got into boxing when I saw Naseem Hamed fight; I couldn't believe what I was seeing; the way he used to lunge and knock people out and his show boating astonished me. The last 8 years I've just got addicted to boxing, I've been on this website reading the articles, comments and forums everyday. For me boxing is the best sport by far.
Boxing is the only sport I follow... I dont mind watchin the cricket or rugby league and other sports.. and i'll read up about them in the news paper here and there if something interestin happens.. but boxing is the only sport i'll do research on, try to learn more about.. go out of my way to make sure i watch a fight etc etc... Been a boxing fan since as long as i can remeber but my love for the sport really took of when my general intertest led me to a boxing gym when i was 15 (just under 20 now) so almost 5 years ago.
