^^^^^ **** the other sports and their fans too. It's ridiculous listening to ESPN radio and hearing the show hosts talk about NOTHING. They never say a ****ing thing - but how could they?? They're talking about basketball, football, and baseball, FFS... "Superficial" doesn't even begin to cover it.
Boxing is the greatest sport ever. Used to follow Tennis before but don't follow anymore. A huge Tim Henman fan here and always hoped to see him win at least ONE Wimbledon, sadly it was never meant to happen. Henman is an A class player when he's mentally in it but can't keep that up all the way.
boxing only. it used to be boxing and baseball but barry bonds retired and the sf giants came so close to world series in 2002 but screwed up.
Boxing is the only sport I follow since about 84. Now I'll watch MMA if I'm stayin' home and there's no boxing that night, but that's about it...
Was a casual fan for a year or 2 but went hardcore after seeing Gatti/Ward I, so thats almost 8 years I was hardcore boxing fan. I chose to be a boxing fan, I wasnt born into it.
No other sport has the pure drama on display to whole time like a true, competitive boxing match does.
NBA Basketball was my favorite sport this month, next month would be NFL Football because of Super Bowl and Pro Bowl, and Summertime would have to be World Cup Soccer and Boxing and NBA play-off finals. Boxing, MMA and K-1 does great in Spring and during Holidays.
For me, Boxing & Basketball go back & forth between #1 and #2. Right now, Boxing is in the lead, but that's mostly because I don't have the time to watch a full 82-game season this year or keep tabs on who's doing what. But I still try to know something about what's going on so I'm not completely lost come playoff time. The other reason I don't watch Basketball as much now is because the Knicks suck.
