Don't see why Sly is on there but what a class to be inducted. Definitely one of the best inductions ever with three power houses on the same night. Awesome!!! :happy:happy

That's an awesome top tier. Great to see Iron Mike getting inducted while his shine is still memorable.

They should also mention the youngest heavyweight champion in history. That is a major achievement that obviously he holds the record on.

It was stated that Sly was in there because his "Rocky Balboa" films greatly contributed to the popularity of the sport among non-boxing fans. Congrats to the boxers who where inducted. Very well deserved.

I remember when JCC and Tyson fought back in the 80's those were huge events. I remember the old farts with their golf pants, the big collared polos, and cheap cigars and my dad would sneek me in so I could watch the fights at the crowded bars. It was awesome back then. I remember them in their primes as if yesterday. These 2 were unbeatable in their primes.

I knew that was the reason he was inducted, but I don't think its true. Considering it was already the Heavyweight Goldern era.

They clearly did not take "Rocky V" and the most recent "Rocky Balboa" into account when including him on the list of inductees. "Rocky Balboa" was just a reminder of what a shame the heavyweight division has become.

Always wanted to go to the Hall of Fame Weekend and think I might make the trip from Ireland for this one. Anyone been before?
