I suppose Messers Jackson, Olivares, Zarate, Foster, Louis, Shavers, Hearns, and Lopez will Jusifiably get many mentions, One Puncher who seems to be all but forgotten thee days is Jaime Garza, As i recall Jr Feather Jaime Garza was rated in some quarters a harder one-shot hitter then the vacating Wilfredo Gomez, ! But Jamie did seem to have a few strikes against him, following Gomez, a very hard act to follow, he was in the same camp as Danny Lopez so did not get much of the camp spotlight, and most damming of all, lost his Jr Feather title in a one round ambush to Jaun Kid Meza, ( apparently in a pre-fight chance meeting / incident in a restaurant Meza had offended Garza and come fight time a reckless headed Garza thew caution to the wind, Meza, who had never been down in 40plus previous fights, twice found himself rising from the canvas, with Gaza going in to administer the Coupe-de-grace he walks into a desperation home-run shot from Meza and gets stopped,) it was 1984's round of the year, and at the time Garza was 40 - 40 -38 ko's ! ( 13 in the 1st 10 in the 2nd - only I ko being after the 5th ! ) he won another 4 by ko to go 45- 1 - 42 ko's but his focus drifting thereafter winning some and losing some in half-hearted comebacks ending up 54 - 48 - 44 ko's) ( for consistent evidence of punching power alone, why didn't he rate even a mention in the Rings 100 greatest punchers listings of a few year ago ?)
