Who are the best and worst refs in boxing history? And why? I'm thinking of high-profile full-time professional refs who've officiated at world championship level rather than ex-fighter one-off celebrity refs like Jersey Joe Walcott.
I liked Mills Lane as one of the best. His fairness and integrity. I never worreid about him favoring the A side regardless of who it was. He'd take points from a fighter if necessary. Tony Perez as one of the worst. Its pretty hard to ruin an Ali/Frazier fight but Tony managed to find a couple ways to do it that night. He almost got Tommy Morrison killed against Ray Mercer. What was he waiting for?
