Then to top it off...The ref stopped it way to early IMO! Gotta love the vicious flurry Joe put on Manfredo! This content is protected
Yeah guess you are right about McNeeley not saying he would have won or stood much chance here but they did stop that a little to soon for it to seem credible...
Can someone confirm a rumour that when Tommy Morrison was on the comeback from his AIDS/HIV hiatus (alleged), that when someone pulled out of a fight the promoter took the fight against Morrison to recoup his money. Tried to take a dive after a lightly connected punch and the referee made him keep fighting until he got clocked?
The list is endless but Mayweather/Mathew Hatton would definitely be one many people won't forget because it's a replacement for the biggest fight in boxing right now and possibly the richest ever. Pavlik's entire middleweight title reign is a good list of mismatches for those interested to "lol". Tyson vs McNeely. Tyson vs Mathis Jr. Basically Tyson's return from prison was a long list of mismatches and planned future mismatches, there's a reason he ditched the multi million dollar offers HBO gave him to go for the less than HALF Don King offered, he never wanted serious fights nor did he want to train, he didn't even want to fight. Even the Holyfield fight was looked at as a mismatch believe it or not, Holyfield just shocked all and brought an A game many people thought he didn't have anymore and for logical reasons. Lewis vs Johnson was a planned mismatch till Vitali stepped in, even that was looked at as a mismatch. Vitali vs D.Williams
The Gatti and Marquez fights were ridiculous mismatches even prior to knowing the outcome. Only diehard Marquez or Gatti fans gave them any kind of chance, or else people who's heads weren't screwed on just right. Mayweather/Hatton wasn't a mismatch at all. Floyd had a relatively difficult time for the first half of the fight.
