Most of the "ducks" probably aren't all that clear-cut to us since there's so much bull**** behind the scenes, politics and all.

the worst case in British boxing history was McAvoy and Mills ducking Bert Gilroy!

though it was really Mills' management in Ted Broadribb and the early associations between Harry Levene and Jack Solomons, between the 3 of them they owned every British fighter of note, but Broadribb was the Don and Solomons went on to be King!!!

the fighters themself were willing and had little to do with it!!!

Point is, all do it. Did Muhammad Ali duck anyone he had to fight?, I don't think we can add him in that category and very few others. This doesn't affect their greatness in my opinion.

Payweather Ducked Cotto clearly I remember i saw an interview one time and they asked him about fighting cotto and his response was that he wanted to retire from boxing and not have boxing retire him.... basically saying he didnt want to get slaughterd by cotto, oh and yes i am talking of the cotto of the past... the cotto that will once again take stage in a few weeks

Cotto would've gotten ****ed up by Mayweather. Cotto fans are so delusional that I don't expect them to ever realize this.

dude i aint even saying that cotto would have WON im just saying that floyd ducked him.... but since you braught it up I think that cotto would have lost a super close decision or gotten a stoppage win later in the rounds... depends which cotto showed up on fight night

Why the hell would Floyd have ducked someone that he would've beaten? The fact of the matter is, Arum never wanted to match Cotto with Mayweather. The fight he wanted to make was Cotto vs. Margo. That was his plan ever since Cotto came to WW. He never pushed for a Mayweather/Cotto fight and neither did Cotto. Think about it. Cotto fights flat footed, has no head movement, his defense is below average, and he's a one handed fighter who really only is effective with a left hook(When's the last time you've seen someone land a good left hook on Mayweather?). We've seen Mayweather fight guys like this, and they all got trashed. It's easy to see who really didn't want that fight to happen.
