watchimg snooker todays got me thinking which boxers in history were like snookers ronnie o sullivan in that they could be amzing one day then **** the next day
Maybe: Emanuel Augustus Andrew Golota perhaps Jersey Joe Walcott? i have not watched lots of his fights but of ones i did watch, it seemed to be a case of him being fairly exceptional, or fighting down at his opponents level.
the first two never reached the heights like o sullivan. i woyld say golota falls in the : Quinten Hann of boxing section
ah. i do not follow snooker. they had a number of good-great moments. even if they did not reach spectacular heights in this sport. Emanuel Augustus at times looked incredible (i am a biased fan however). maybe it is more forgiving to be that inconsistent in snooker than boxing, i do not know.
michael moorer. he could go from great to **** back to great to **** during a fight like ronnie in a match
funny you should mention ronnie o sullivan. His grandfather micky was part of a fighting family of brothers who were all good boxers at bantam and fly weight. danny, micky and dickie o sullivan. mickys brother danny (ronnies great uncle) was the best of them a british champion in the 1950s but all three brothers had winning records and were respected north london characters. ronnies grandfather was active in the ex boxers clubs.
