hahaahha!!! He's not that bad. It's actually a good counter balance to progamer and his ilk. Idk why that guy doesn't get banned after saying he's not a fan of boxing...

Anyway back to the matter at hand, what if Ezzard Charles had not killed that kid (forget his name)?
What if Jersey Joe Walcott had gotten the decision against Joe Louis?
What if Whitaker had not been robbed against JCC?
What if Aaron Pryor did not get that bottle that Panama mixed?
What if a young Mosley had agreed to fight Floyd? Or if Kosta had agreed to fight Floyd?
What if Vtali and Wlad agreed to fight each other?
What if Americans could actually give credit to the Klitschkos instead of insulting their competition?

What if Marciano hadn't retired so early?
What if Jack Johnson had defended his title against other black fighters?

I think he used it at times before the Mosley fight, not sure how many times. I do think he had heavy hands anyway, but used this disgusting trick in fights before.

Plasterito may have been distracted by being caught, but Mosley looked so on that night, had the right style and abilities for Margarito, that I don't think the end result would have changed. There was also talk beforehand of Margarito celebrating the Cotto win too much and having a horrible training camp.

Perhaps Margarito would have been more competitive.

I think Tunney had the senses and survival skills to get out of the round and then win a decision. No changes in the outcome here. He seemed very aware of the count and got up when he needed to.

Similar to Tunney, I think Douglas would have gotten up anyway if the ref was counting faster. Douglas seemed aware and got up when he needed to. However, it was pretty damn close as he got up at NINE, so who knows for sure?

Maybe that performance wakes Tyson up and he gets back to taking boxing more seriously, but eventually he'd probably implode from his lifestyle and demons. Maybe against Holyfield later that year, maybe someone else, but I doubt he'd reign much longer.

Smaller swarmers with his style tend to not have as much longevity anyway. Manny Steward said he expected Tyson to be greatly declined once he passed the age of 25.

Too hard to tell. Lewis looked exhausted slumping on his stool after the 6th round. Klitschko wasn't exactly a ball of energy either and was falling over Lewis late in that round from a short right hand inside.

He was either hurt, or exhausted, to be falling all on Lennox in that manner.

Mayweather's all-time standing might actually be better as he wouldn't be as obsessed with his undefeated record and might not be as careful with his opponent selection.

That "invincible" stuff is a bunch of crap anyway by people who don't think about boxing history, and different situations and eras.

Many fighters used to fight 15-20 times a year, often against real quality opponents. Fight that many times, you're bound to lose some of them, whether it be bad style matchups, off-night, feeling sick, questionable decisions, etc.

Ali is loved for the most part today, so I don't think that changes.

Duran loses a decision in a relatively uneventful fight, and doesn't disgrace himself and get remembered by even casual fans as that quitting "No Mas" guy. The fight was actually competitive although Duran was losing.

Or maybe Duran drops a deuce in the ring.

Taylor's career doesn't change that much. This is what I said on a different thread. I've never heard anyone tell me how they see his career going so, so much better if he never took a brutal beating in the loss to Chavez.

    http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=209299

Steele didn't count him out though, he stopped it as Taylor beat the count.

I don't know what was going on thru his mind. Surely Marciano would have been remembered differently without that mythical 49-0 record.

Same thing with his supposedly controversial decision wins (don't know if they are on film, I don't think so) against LaStarza and Lowry.

I have no idea if the superfight would have been made.

bless. groves was en route to getting ktfo, as evidenced beyond reasonable doubt next time!

what if dirrell had been given the nod in nottingham? would his career have been anywhere near froch's, and what would the ramifications have been for the division? what if ward, who wouldn't attack like froch, had taken on bute?
