Boxnation 2 cards per week - where is it?

    Two cards per week was the sales pitch for this new boxing channel. I am happy with what has been delivered up until December, the Cotto-Margarito card was great and it compensated for the light December schedule.

    But, we are into January now, and it is threadbare. I know January is a slow month, but we are still paying our tenner a month for a boxing channel. January, February and March look very weak.


    Jan 13 Leon Williams v Shane McPhilben
    Jan 20 Derry Matthews v Emilano Marslli
    Feb 3 Ovil McKenzie v Tony Dodson
    Feb 10 Kevin Mitchell v TBA
    Feb 18 Vitali Klitschko v Dereck Chisora
    Feb 25 Cleverly v Karpency
    Mar 10 Ricky Burns v TBA

    One fight card per week and the Boxing Hour is not a boxing channel. I cant see BN picking up anymore subscribers with this output. Sorry for the negativity but I am a paying boxing fan and I want to see better than this. And I want to see two fight cards per week as sold to me.

    ye but look at the quality - leon williams - shane mcphilben and mitchell - ormond are worth the 20 quid for the two months they are spread across alone! and its rumoured cleverly will be facing dangerous iron chinned banger tommy karpency, whos nearly rated at world level, should be a *******

    They are failing to deliver on the promise already which is not a good sign after such a short period of time. I wouldnt hold your breath that the channel last's very long.

    I personally don't think Boxnation will last to the end of 2012.

    Great idea in concept yet in practice seems to be falling majorly short.

    I never really expected 2 cards a week this time of year but there should be no excuses by the end of January.

    Probably something to do with boxing fans streaming fights instead of supporting the channel!;)

    The fights are there so they have no excuses but if Buncey says that international fights are coming then great. The following would be nice :good

    Jan 14th – Abraham/Stieglitz - Double header (Sauerland)
    Jan 20th – Rigondeaux vs Ramos
    Jan 21st – Chambers vs Liakhovich
    Jan 28th – Brahmer/Chagaev/Boytsov - Triple header

    Feb 4th – Chavez jr vs Rubio, Donaire vs Vasquez jr
    Feb 4th – Hernandez vs Cunningham rematch (Sauerland)
    Feb 25th – Maidana vs Alexander, Broner vs Perez
    Feb 25th – Povetkin vs Huck (to be confirmed)

    Add this to the domestic fights that are already confirmed and Boxnation starts to look like a bargain again.

    Accourding to my sauces, Berto-Ortiz, Alexander-Maidana and Williams-Ishida will be on boxnation as well as the Stieglitz-webber fight.
