Congratulations. You have harassed Buncey to the point where he will not post here anymore and I really don't blame him. I am surprised he stuck around here as long as he did.

With regard to the early bell controversy in the Macca fight, I can tell you with some confidence that was down to timekeeper incompetence, not some Machiavellian plot to preserve the viability of a future showdown with Cleverly.

Some people here are seriously disturbed.

  2. Must admit I'd probably subscribe if Allegedly wasn't behind it.

Before I sent Sky back, that is.

 Fair point, but it's still 6 more than before.

Another thing is with these fights being on telly there's more chance of them ending up on youtube. If someone like Buglioni scores a nice KO that sort of thing could go viral and create a bit of buzz.

I know we all treat these things differently, but I personally would not miss out on this number of fights for that little money just because I didn't like the guy who started the channel. We only get one life, I wouldn't let my feelings for someone I've never met stop me enjoying it. We maybe also need to get over the idea that boxing is some mass market sport that would get F1 or football etc-type audience figures if only it were on a mainstream channel. It just wouldn't, except for the odd marquee fight, so for me a specialist channel at a sensible cost is the ideal solution.

Depends what you mean. The channel has cheap production, sure. But in terms of the coverage style I don't really have much of a complaint. I thought the Vitali/Chisora coverage was pretty good. They had various highlight stuff to show including an entire previous Vitali fight if I remember correctly.

Well F.W. stuff obviously has switched channels. But recently, Sky just haven't cared that much about international boxing. And the free channels don't show international boxing.

If you want good coverage of boxing in the UK, then the only alternative to a boxing channel that I can see is if a channel like ESPN got serious about it, or Premier Sports. I don't see that would be any better than BoxNation. (Someone could say that ESPN have better picture quality or whatever.)

With a boxing channel, you know they have to be committed to boxing. They can't decide, "Let's cutback on boxing and spend money on rugby because we think that is what will bring in new subscribers".

If you just get BoxNation you will be paying much less money!

Well if the free channels show little interest, and Sky Sports only give limited coverage, then it seems you have that problem whatever.

I'm shocked by the amount of people that moan about it, it's been value for money thus far.

All this value for money agument doesnt really work for me.

I already pay for Sky sports, ESPN and Premier Sports. I dont really see the value in adding another £10 to my bill for the output from boxnation. The major fights they show I can find a day later in HD and I dont mind doing that.

I subscribe to Sky sports for the boxing and a whole lot more. ESPN for football and UFC and Premier sports for the NRL. If sky didnt show the boxing it did then maybe I would bite but sky's boxing is good enough for me.

There are all sorts of fights on BoxNation that would not get on Sky, for me those fights are worth £10 a month, to you they are not - there's no argument to work or otherwise, simply a matter of opinion on where our £10 is best directed. I have Sky Sports, it's great for the F1 but the boxing is not as good as BoxNation, in my opinion. You don't consider the extra £10 for BoxNation worthwhile, that's fine too!

You can't say it's not good value because I can download it illegally for free.

Yes it would but without sky sports I would have to download so much more than boxing. If Sky didnt show boxing I wouldnt cancel as I subscribe for the whole package . A wide variety of sports.

The only thing I think i'm missing out on from not having boxnation is the major overseas fights which are easily found elsewhere so it isnt a 'must have' for me.

Last week i thought Sky were in driving seat with 3 cards to BN's joke of a fight and Matchroom looking solid

But now with Sky's fight being a journeyman vs Rose and there long term schedule being VERY flimsy - and with BN's new deal and that new thing for young fighters they are showing on Thursdays it looks like BN are in the driving seat
