I consider Boxnation as a charity, we should support hardcore boxing channels and causes.

Honestly couldn't care less how much loss the company makes. I watch the channel because I only have UK channels like most people.

I care, because the losses are having an impact on the boxers, hence the likes of Burns being ripped off.

Supporting BN is a disgrace in my eyes. Means you don't care about the boxers.

Without BN there's plenty of fighters I wouldn't have heard of so it serves a purpose for some. It sucks for Burns but I can't say his court case made me lose an awful lot of sleep

I have to ask some of you a question.

Why do some of you seem to take real pleasure in the idea of a TV station dedicated to boxing struggling?

Surely as boxing fans you would want fighters having the opportunity to get air time, get paid and you having the chance (if you wish) to watch them.

Regardless of who owns it, surely money being fed back in to boxing is a good thing?

Nobody is forced to pay for it like the TV licence for example so I don't understand the negativity.

Can you do me a favour and just list a few bullet points on why I should feel sorry for Burns? As far as I can see he took shocking legal advice and was duly sued because of it.

In wrongly terminating his contract he cost FW potential future earnings which FW could have argued he had forecasted against any early investment in Burns' career, No?

Almost all of Ricky Burns career earnings are thanks to FW, he got him opportunities and money far above what his talent should have dictated, and Burns still lives off the back of that now! For example, I'd highly doubt he'd have got his most recent title shot had he not already be A) an ex two-weight world champion going for a third and B) A draw in Scotland. Both of which are thanks to FW.

Happy for you to explain where I'm wrong though. Before anyone starts I aint no FW bumboy either, what he did to Calzaghe was wrong and was rightly sued for it. But Burns? Burns screwed himself.

I probably subscribe to BN for about 4 months of the year. On the face of it I would want a British company to do well when taking on the Murdoch empire. It's FW and some of his history which leaves a sour taste in the mouth.

Having said that, I'm not going to cut off my nose to spite my face. I paid £20 for these 2 months and I'd say it's worth it. I wasn't going to stay up for the Frampton LSC fight, so it's great waking up on a Sunday and watching it with breakfast not knowing the result. Same thing with Canelo vs Smith. Can't complain with the HD either.

Enjoyed watching Spence yesterday, and I recorded some Kovalev and GGG fights to watch at my leisure before the Ward and Brook s****s.

I've read a variety of sources.

Fundamentally ****** owed Burns about £100,000 in unpaid purses, mainly from the Mitchell fight.

By walking away from his contract he lost a further 70 odd grand and had to pay about 200 grand in legal fees and cover ******s too.

He took terrible advice which cost him a lot more than ****** did.
