I have access to a ****ing expensive HD TV any time I want it at my in-laws. I watched the cricket at midnight Christmas Day on a HUGE HD TV, I've watched sport, music and the lot on HD TVs that clearly weren't high street makes, indeed a couple of notches above, more money than I can afford, more than your average man can pay out, and with stupid surround sound. I have to be straight with you, HD didn't make that much difference to me. Maybe it's because my eyes aren't as sharp as they were, but even if they were, it makes little difference.

To meet you half way, MC, Hagler - Hearns would look good on any TV HD or Cathode Ray....:good

It doesn't make a difference to yoo since you're used to being a cheap tramp with a **** TV, but anyone with eyes can see a huge difference between SD & HD, so stop talking **** go back to your pikey flat with **** TV.

Anyone without HD is not entitled to a opinion, so shut it.

I got rid of Sky a while back,I don't even have the box now.
I remember the weekend fights on ITV, Benn, Eubank etc. I can remember the boxing on Sky Sports when it started out. Then Eubank, Benn, Naz and Collins. Soon after, even though you subscribed to a sports package, you had to pay even more for a big fight. I soon got fed up with this.

I guess most men (or quite a few) who watch boxing go out on a Friday\Saturday evening so would not watch the fights at home?

We now have Sky Sports, Prime Time, Boxnation, Channel 5, PPV and others.

Sometimes in the club we have two stations on at the same time showing fights. These are Sky and Channel 5.

The thing is, Channel 5 can be seen everywhere, that's why I like it.

Sky Sports can be seen in the clubs that have Sky.

I don't know of any pubs or clubs around me who have Prime Time fights or Boxnation subscriptions. There might be some, and I wish they did.

That's the trouble with boxing PPV and subscriptions in my opinion. A lot of men will probably be out on the weekends so will watch in the pubs and clubs. Channel 5 must get some really big figures and exposure for the fighters on there.

Agreed. The same people will say that Blu-Ray isn't much better in terms of quality than regular DVD's.

There is a hell of a difference!

HD is better and is important. Anyone who says otherwise is being cheap.

Tell ya one thing.......i used to laugh and yawn at all this is it HD etc when ppvs n subscriptions were on offer......actually i still do.

But.....i do notice these camera angles on boxnation and am like wtf.........its like its stalled or its recounting a framerate (i dunno) or some pish.......almost hazy slomo.

Notice it been happening in Eastenders too......aint like its a gripping moment and/when they got all emo.............so to speak.
