I assume no new opponent could be found for Liam Williams. I can understand why they pulled the show. This makes last week's decision not to show the York Hall card even worse. There is no professional boxing on Boxnation until GGG on 23 April No British Boxing from 12 March to 30 April All we have got is WSB and European Amateurs. Compare to the Sky schedule. Even Premier Sport have got Pacquio v Bradley They need to get - Broner, Errol Spence and Nonito Donaire cards to fill the schedule
I think it's down to the lack of opponent and that he's trained by Lockett who probably wouldn't be in the right frame of mind after last weekend's events.
I seem to remember FW stating when Boxnation first began that there would be live boxing on every weekend
I cancelled my subscription a while back and have no intention of spending my money until the quality of the schedule improves.
Listened to a podcast with Barry Jones on last week saying the lack of local shows is down to the sheer cost...so you have the producers, camera people, additional lighting, the presenters etc Hopefully they pick up more INTL cards over the next week or so, they usually pick up some on late notice when there isn't much on
Coldwell a few years ago stated that to film/put out a small hall show cost £10-15k which isn't exactly huge money even if you factor in presenters etc. It's a tricky situation for Frank as his rights fee is essentially paid to himself.
Yeah, there must be a cheaper way of doing it. Like for local shows (not that I pay for BN for local shows, more into their world cards) they don't really need all the presenters and that there surely. Mind you, every so often they have a lull like this and everyone says it's the end etc...they seem to motor on all the same
Boxnation will be fine so long as their backer keeps pumping in the money. The PPV channel talk has died down however.
Fish absolutely conned people and I am amazed people did not see though this at least 2 years ago at most. The domestic content is virtually non existent. How long will the final 200 - 300 subscribers keep forking out? atsch
