They aren't rivals. BoxNation's boxing coverage is far better...because it's a boxing channel. If Sky wanted to, they could outbid BoxNation on every show and put the channel out of business but the simple fact is, they aren't a boxing channel and only have a small interest in the sport. To compare the two is impossible. Hearn shows are better than Frank shows though, which is a more appropriate comparison.
For actual fights? Boxnation. For production values and blah blah HD blah Jim Watt blah blah then Sky
I love the tennis and speedway and can't really be arsed watching boxing more than 6 times a year so I'm going to vote for Sky Sports.
Apples and oranges imo.BoxNation are doing their job as boxing channel at the moment and i`m happy enough to have 3 less pints a month
What is it with this forum lately? It's not ****in' man city vs man utd! The way this forum goes on about promoters and tv channels, they may as well release official boxnation and sky sports jerseys so you can show your fanatical support of one over the other. I swear some of you are more interested in promoters and tv channels than you are fighters. Who will Eddie sign this week? :yikes It's like your footy club's manager trying to sign Ronaldo or something. to answer the question though, Boxnation. For boxing. I do like other sports though so overall if I could only have one it would be Sky. Boxnation is better for boxing mainly because of the international cards. The domestic shows are absolute gash though, and Hearn's shows on sky **** all over them. As for magazine shows, ringside and boxing hour are both shite, but ringside is slightly better imo. It doesn't have that ghastly red background! As far as punditry goes, I think both of them are shockingly bad. Sky's performance last week for the Bellew fight was as bad as anything I've ever heard, but Bunce and co are not to be outdone in this department either.
Obviously everything combined it has to be Sky because they actually combine things BN is just a boxing channel so its kind of pointless comparing the two. Now seen as we're on a boxing forum and BN is a boxing channel perhaps it would be best to compare which channel covers boxing best no ? So in this case it would have to be BN
Theres defineately a Sky vs. Boxnation thing going on when there doesn't really need to be. BoxNation for world wide fights and Sky for domestic stuff, its not as if the 2 channels clash over content that much.
