You are right about Formula One having pretty women, that's great, you make the point that they are not as slutty as in boxing, this is my point exactly!

With regards to trash talking that is just not a good analogy I 'm afraid.

The language used on the football pitches is equally as bad and this is far more of a 'family' sport than boxing.

You are right that it isn't part of snooker or tennis; but in snooker the object is not always about beating the opponent, it is more often about the player beating themselves. In snooker it doesn't necessarily matter how good the opponent is or how well they are playing, if you are good enough to not let them get on the table then there is absolutely nothing they can do. Also remaining calm and composed is a part of the game, to be angry, uptight and tense would not offer an individual any advantage.

Tennis is much more of a one on one sport, but it is still regarded against the rules to shout abusive language against an opponent, as they say it just isn't considered 'tennis'; if it wasn't a punishable behaviour I am sure it would take place now and again.

Boxing is a sport based on many levels and one of them is psychological, it is a huge advantage when a fighter can intimidate their opponent before the first bell even rings.

This is part of the sport, the same way as wearing a waistcoat and a bow tie is part of snooker, if it was banned it would be a different matter.

 

Jaysus nuts magazine that brings back memories, a few years ago i used to buy a copy of that every week to read at lunch time. Didn't know the mag was still going, might actually pick up a copy later
