Thanks Boxnation for getting the Marquez and Rios fights. You truly are proving to be the best £10 a month i spend. However my rant is, I watched the fight Sunday afternoon on your repeat show (which is surely only there for people who haven't seen the fight) Not knowing the result. And you switched the order of the fights round so that when I was watching the Marquez fight 1st, the commentators started talking about the Rios fight half way through, and how he won a disputed split decision. I didn't want to know the result dam it. I'm right to be annoyed right. Show the fights in the right order, or make sure the commentators don't discuss the result.
I was going to say "Why didn't you Sky+ the live program", but then remembered that if you had of done, it would have probably stopped half way through the 11th round...
I was staying over at some friends who didn't have boxnation. Who do they think is watching that 3pm repeat show. Surely it's only for people that haven't seen the fight and therefore don't want to know the result. Boxing when you know the result is boring.
Unfortunately not. I do love boxnation though. But this annoyed me. I was looking forward to Rios Abril. I wasn't even that fussed about the Marquez tune-up
I would be willing to wager a not too insignificant amount of money that the person who made the decision about the running order of fights in the repeat programme did not watch the live event, therefore, had no prior knowledge that the commentators would mention the Rios/Abril fight during the Marquez/Fedchenko fight. I did actually notice this at the time but I already knew the Rios/Abril result.
Most likely. If they work for Boxnation, they should have a knowledge of Boxing, and therefore should have known this was a PPV double header in America where Marquez and Rios were been lined up to fight afterwards, meaning the chances of the commentators mentioning itm was pretty likely.
Yeah I agree. It was a strange decision to switch them around really. I suppose they wanted Marquez on first as he's a bigger name to British fans. Can't think of any other reason to switch the order.
Good point but think BoxNation are really starting to up thier game and are showing good quality fights.
agreed. the quality of the fights is very good. Every fight card i could have hoped for this year, has been picked up by boxnation. If it's not a massive event like this weekends, I prefer watching the next day without knowing the result. I can get more pumped for the fight if i'm not alf asleep. So I need them to get this sorted.
