I know this is old news now but i havnt seen a thread on it here and its big news for british boxing.

Ok, so the other day fr4nk and george did a presser with some guy from bt sports, anouncing a long term deal, although no timeframe was given fr4nk went on to say that this was the biggest deal that had been done in europe. Now to what extent the word biggest has any relevant meaning we werent given any specifics other than, iirc 30 BN shows will be shown on BT sports and a further 30 shows are exclusive to BN including international fights. (I do remember similar claims been made at the launch of BN,) Thats 60 fights in total for those of us that are BN suscribers.

I dont rightly remember how fr4nk broke it down as to how many fights they will be delivering but i do specifically remember george saying "thats 60 fights a yr".
The fights that are part of the bt schedule will defo get delivered thats safe to say but its the claims hed making for the BN only, card delivery im not so sure about.
No doubt some will be looking to cancel BN now as they may already have bt so that means less subscribers so less money coming in but more shows to commit to for BN only subscribers. Its true to say that they will now have more cash to spend so maybe it will work out like fr4nks ssying but i suppose well have to watch this space.
One thing i have noticed is the drive fr4nk seems to be showing now he talks about this new deal and the implications for british boxing through, of course ..fr4nk.
This is just the life saver he needed, hes back and its written allover his face...hes loving it!
This can only be good firstly for the boxers and secondly for us fans.
Competition will be fierce and the playing field is tilting in fr4nks favour, he has the experience, he has the tools and now he has the clout he has to start looking at matching hearn for the quality of his shows, thats a given.
He will be looking for more fighters which will get more exposure (this was the area that matchroom were strong in , the publicity game. Well now this should become a more level field)
Imo hes played a blinder here.
Theres a lot more to say about this so ill throw it open for someone else to add on..

Who do u reckon will be the first matchroom fighter to go to fr4nk now?
I know selby is with uncle al but his contract is up soon and i dont reckon its worked out as his best move with hindsight. I reckon he could be one of the already established world champs to be the first to sign. The next few years are really looking good for brithish fighters and fight fans.

Again in a similar situation to him is Degale, I think they may make a play for him.

I can't see any of the real favourites at matchroom leaving but it does certainly provide options for those on the fringe of it.

With a focus on small hall etc it could be that they can beat matchroom to the punch with fighters that neither have picked up yet or perhaps tie up areas that matchroom don't have a strong hold on. I may be wrong but don't think Matchroom have anybody north of Yorkshire really tied up?

I think that we should start seeing better content ...ye thats for sure. Bt wont put up with crappy content, fr4nks been fighting with the proverbial hand behind his back, he now has the cobbles to fight on and content is one area he needs to improve if hes going to lick eddie

    Yes degale is another shout..
i hear what u say about u cant see any of the fovourites going but you just never know. We dont know whats going on behind the scenes and in peoples minds.. people were getting a bit fed up with eddie (apparantly) this is just the alternative some people need. Now people can say.. if u cant deliver then maybe fr4nk can. This is good competion and will benefit everyone in the long run.
The only fighter i remember matchroom having north of yorks is saunders. Is he finished though now?
I remember him having real problems with his hands.
But as stated earlier..this is real good news for fighters. Thete will now be more opportunity and anyone on a serious campaign has a better chance now imo.
This sport is hard enough as it is, so any chance to create oppertunitys for the boxers is fantastic.

Yeah I heard Brook wasn't to happy but after pulling off GGG I guess that payday will have calmed the waters. Oh without doubt will be some who we don't know have stomached him through necessity and might not need to now. Competition can only be good, again Cyclone having Channel 5 as well at least means there are alternatives, which means everybody has to up their game.

I can only see it as a positive especially for the fighters who after all are the most important people in the game.

Bradley Saunders? I think I saw him suggesting a come back on twitter so who know's but got to be people worth signing in both North East and Scotland, perhaps even that where not aware of

    Yes Bradley Saunders.
Mgm have been doing shows up scotland amongst others. there is some talent coming through up there so i suppose theres potential to make shows from that neck of the woods.
Other than that coming south you have already established names like warrington, coyle and nurse who have deals with matchroom but they have there own managers, steve woods and chris aston respectivly, generaly on a fight by fight basis except warrington of course who got, a five fight deal but is well into that now (hope thst made sense), fr4nk could build big nights with these involved, as well as others of course. Ffighters from the north east could possibly fall in with the scottish nights, if they happened. Or alt nights could be built around yorkshire fighters, which could also accomadate nort east fighters.

Yeah so Coyle/Nurse are just on a fight by fight deal, Warrington has 5 fights but has had a few of those 5. Yeah you could easily mix the 3 up and have some big big nights, obviously Warrington key in Yorkshire as tickets just seem to be immense. Luke Campell tied up? If Saunders can come back they could build North East round him although also have Glenn Foot, Ward brothers who are thereabouts. I think Warren has Josh Leather in North East. Scotland obviously Cyclone got Josh Taylor but Charlie Flynn, Joe Ham, Lewis Benson up there.

Hopefully as we predict it brings a competition at the very least which means Hearn/Warren/Cyclone are force to up game even further

Am no warren fan but he didn't fail with sky, he made some of the best boxing events seen in the uk, better than mismatches matchroom are producing for more expense.
