I just got BoxNation for the Mayweather vs Cotto fight. Quite impressed by the coverage and build up etc. Definitely worth having if you're a boxing fanatic. I don't see anything negative coming from a dedicated boxing channel.

I only have a few issues with it. The first is the price. I'm already paying £55 for my Sky subscription. I don't want to pay another £10 per month. I think £5 is more reasonable and more likely to attract more subscribers. I know friends who also would buy it for £5 but not for £10. 100,000 on £10 brings in the same as 200,000 on £5. The benefit of more subscribers is that they will be able to generate more income through advertising. I think they should do a 2 month trial at £5 to see if it works.

The second problem is the lack of HD. Disappointing when they want £10 a month. I've seen some replays of BoxNation fights on Sky and they were in HD so the fights are filmed in HD.

Finally, I think the commentary for big fights can be better. I've nothing against John Rawling- prefer Ian Darke but Rawling is good. I think they need a better co-commentator. I'm not a fan of Enzo Maccarinelli, Paul Smith or Spencer Fearons work on the microphone. I think they need to get someone else in.

If they are only at the 30k subscription mark then it's hard to see how they can keep up the domestic schedule along with the international schedule long term.

Of course Haye/Chisora could change the direction of the channel, for better or for worse.

    (a) What you choose to pay for Sky is nothing to do with BoxNation.
    (b) No one "wants to" pay money for TV, but that's how the world works.
    (c) £10 is a fair price for what the channel gives in my opinion. Try moving to America and paying for HBO/Showtime/PPVs.

In the FAQ's section on the Boxnation website it says that everything is filmed in HD and they will be launching a HD channel sometime this year? No idea if it's actually close to happening or not mind you.

Bit harsh and not really, £5 per channel is comparable to Sky's individual channel's or packages.

£55 a month is way too much money. To be honest if what you want is boxing, there's no need to pay that much money when they show one good scrap each three months. You can get it elsewhere.

As for the rest of Sky, footy is good, as is cricket...but then you have....

    Friends
    MTV
    King of Queens
    Gilmore Girls
    Shameless
    The Only Way is Essex
    Everybody Loves Raymond
    Golf 24/7
    Ringside (****ing what?)
    Horse racing
    The Simpsons
...and a lot of ****ing **** from a man who is a nation-hopping right-wing bent ****. The sooner Murdoch dies the better.

They have way more than 30k, Cotto Maragito 2 Mayweather Cotto Vitali Chisora I would say at least 70k for them.....plus all the rest of the shows, whats your source on 30k?
