    Hi all,

Just curious, people seem to despise this channel and I can't seem to work out why. Is it simply because of the ties to ******?

For what it's worth, I think it's fantastic having a platform to watch the international bills. The domestic shows leave something to be desired, but they're still entertaining. Barry Jones is a top commentator as well

sometimes it's okay, but they repeat too much **** on there. they still regularly show walsh v appleby ffs.

it would help if they could show boxing shows from over in the states or something as filler, instead of walsh v appleby for the 5000th time or one of frampton/chisora going around in a black cab

Fair play to them. They have two things over Sky - much better commentators and analysts, and much better international coverage.

I'm not a subscriber, if they had more fights, such as recently the broner / mattysse card would be a good ish one to watch, or record to watch later, yet they didn't have it, same with Marco Hucks fight. The least you'd expect from a boxing channel is for them to have a majority of the fights abroad, the GGG fight was on sky too.

I don't know anyone whose actually got boxnation properly, the only people I know who have it have a suspicious looking sky / virgin box.

can't see the channel lasting too much longer in my opinion, don't think there's enough demand for it. I think eventually it will either merge with BT sports and become part of their sports package.

I have subscribed and I think it's decent. The only problem I have with it is they repeat the same thing about 3 times in a day.

they have a show on there now called boxing matters, which *i think* is initially aired on bt sport and then later shown on box nation so what you say about merging could be a possiblity

Yeah, see I only have the on-line subscription so don't get to see a lot of the repeated stuff. Would be good to have some of the Friday night stuff as you guys say, though I suspect that's reliant on the business expanding - which doesn't sound likely.

If they do go down, I really hope someone else picks up the fights.

    Reasons not to not subscribe:
Makes FW £12 richer a month
    Awful domestic fights
Best content is on in the early hours and shown on BT two days later
BNs own content is poor quality
    Steve Bunce
A lot of the American content (all access etc) can be legally watched on YouTube

There's 6 bang off the top of my head, ony decent thing is Jim rosenthal and Barry jones

As a boxing fan, I think BN is great. Great to see the American cards live.

I quite like getting up 9ish on a Sunday and watching an early hours fight with a dirty fry-up personally, but to each their own. Also, I'm one of these rare types that actually quite likes Bunce. As an actual presenter, he's terrible. I like that he's very passionate though and engages other people on the show very well. Not as robotic as some of the Sky lot

They have to repeat stuff. You could NEVER fill the schedule with live boxing!

The repeats are a killer it's worth the money though . Something I've always wanted them to do is once a week put on a show for say 2 to 3 hours they could show two or three fights from the Far East . It doesn't have to be live , recorded is fine . International fight night in the 80's and 90's was a great show apart from Gary newbon . Reg done the tv blow by blow in the studio while watching a video of the fights . Knowing the result never mattered it's how we could get to watch fighters like the galaxy twins and sot chitalada and moon

I have Boxnation Mayweather, Pac Man fights I watch. Do agree the UK fights need to be improved on. Fury VS Chisora is a start.

I actually like getting up early Sunday and watching a card from USA. If u love boxing I don't get why u wouldn't want Box Nation to do well.

Im no fan of Fr@nk but 1 day he will get found out. Until then I'll pay a couple of quid a week to watch something I love
