Agree. Their SD is rather poor. My primetime feed for the HAtton show was SD but looked almost as good as HD.
Yep, the German seem to be better than the domestic for whatever reason. But it depends what you watch it on. I watch BoxNation on a small CRT and the picture quality is fine. I also watch on a large LCD and then it can get iffy.
Uncle Frank mentioned in a recent interview that they broke even this year? Then again he also said he wouldn't promote Haye/Chisora?
Sick of people predicting Boxnation's demise. There were loads of posters this time last year saying they wouldn't made it through 2012. I don't know what their finances are but I've enjoyed Boxnation generally and hope it succeeds. I'm a boxing fan, I want to watch boxing on tv. My contempt is for the rugby golf athletics and tennis loving toffs at the BBC.
Surely the first 12 months of a tv channel are the hardest, get past that and you could be in for the long haul, more advertisers get on board etc
Also: David Price vs Tony Thompson Clev vs his mandatory Groves maybe fighting for the European? Not sure we will get a good Ricky Burns opponent, but in general, the domestic stuff is looking OK.
Frank worked as a consultant on the case, Frank was like a pig in **** with all the legal documentation.
Put it this way it wont be that far from going. I think Frank will do what he always does. He will be in talks with Sky again and even ITV and ESPN to get out of Boxnation when they do go bust. I just cant see where they are making money. Also with fighters not getting paid on time then you got to think of many things that could happen to Frank. I can see fighters he promotes taking him to court over not being paid in full in 2013 not only that I can also see a lot of fighters moving to different promotors asap depending on when there contracts up. ****** will survive as a promotor but Boxnation not too sure. He will try everything to keep it going and I can guess a PPV show wont be too far away on Boxnation either a Burns fight or Cleverly fight and its a shame as neither fighter are PPV standard yet Frank will do anything to get as much money as he can.
