I had froch winning a clear decision probably same as you 116-112 but there were lots of rounds that were super competitive, a couple round of the year candidates that were toe to toe action, and he was able to push Froch and compete with him in a way that he was completely incapable of doing against Bute. That's all im saying

that would explain it. I even mentioned round 9

Exactly. They had an idea of how the fight was going to go and they ran with it. They would have still been singing the same tune had Johnson scored a legitimate knockdown. I'm convinced.

Maybe thats a good thing if he would have ko'd Johnson he would have been even more avoided.Ward's trainer already stated they dont want to fight Bute.
My opinion is that Bute also wanted to leave Johnson's dignity intact before he retires.

Bute: "I consider myself a winner. I beat him with one hand. In the forth round I felt pain in my right hand and I could hit with it"

Very strange considering Bute actually got more offensive work done after the opening four rounds.

Boxnation just exemplified the fact that most people dont know **** about boxing. even those who are paid to comment upon it.

And how about shutting the **** up when the cprners are talking. Christ. like i want to hear about what you think is the mark of a champion...

"Bute's looking like he's doing alot without doing much at all. That's the mark of a true champion." Goddamn. If you cant say anything DONT SAY ANYTHING. ****ing ******s.

Damn I hope Froch wins next month. Froch has tons of heart and desire and he won't duck Bute unlike the punkass yuppie, Andre Ward who has no heart and no chin.

As for BN's coverage....I saw STs, and thought they were being a bit to hard on Johnson. His jab was as effective as I've seen it, and when he felt those hooks and the straight L early in the fight, he stayed on the outside. No one was expecting that. We all know he'll work on the outside for 2/3 tops, but then he's on your chest, pressuring his man until the final bell. Outwork him or get beat.

They talked about his weight being an issue. Like this is his first fight at the weight. They forget the man fought Green and Froch in the S6 in his last 2.

For what it's worth, Bute won about every rd of the fight, was never in trouble, and controlled the distance, the tempo and the ring the entire night(except maybe the 1st.) He dominated GJ like NO other fighter has ever done. Even at 42, GJ is not shot, and many tipped him to stop Bute.

Just hoping GJ gets that bad taste outta his mouth. The man's LITERALLY been robbed 7 times.....and shoulda drew at least once more. But tonight he took his frustration out on his friend, when his friend held back his punches out of respect. Props to both for making it an above average fight, and thank God that Bute parlayed his offense a bit out of respect for a HOFer and a friend. I'm glad GJ didn't get stopped.:good

That's actually not as dumb as it sounds. He worded it wrong, but i understand what he meant.

It was particuarly hilarious considering that Duke hadn't long gave the opening three rounds to Bute based on being the busier of the two. :rofl

The commentary was a traffic accident, whichever way you cut it.
