Sorry Jeff I disagree mate, The coverage is what you would expect from a new TV station, the card was brilliant, no Latvian pregnant men and there was some good fights, a lot of talking points :good

    :deal

As someone who is enjoys good quality production I find myself extremely frustrated watching this channel knowing that me and two of my mates could put together a better show.

Boxing is a sport that needs good lighting, good camera angles, to create an atmosphere an aura and we won't get this as long as Frank lives off those same values that were successful in the eighties.

I hate to reiterate the same points over and over but if you ever watch UFC the production is incredible and whilst I appreciate that they spend some serious money on doing this, Frank and the other promoters could at least take a note from them and pick up on some of their tricks.

I tune in to watch a boxing match, couldn't give a shite about anything else.

If I want to see great production there are plenty of places to see it and UFC most certainly is not the first stop.

    Good enough IMHO.

  8. Surely, as boxing fans, we should desire good fights above anything else?

Personally, I don't care how shabby Boxnation's coverage is providing I get to watch, as I have done with them, fights as good Liam Walsh vs Paul Appleby and Nathan Cleverly vs Tony Bellew.

You can have all the ramazzmatazz in the World and if a fight is ****, it will still be ****.

That Richard Keys is a 1st class wank:yep I can't stand the slimy ****, fancy any sports journo/presenter knowing absolutly **** all about boxing. I see problems ahead with this **** once he thinks he knows a bit about the scene, smug *******, just like that other tosser gary newbon was in the 90's:fire

We've got Hopkins Vs Dawson tonight, it's quite probable that a while ago on British screens that fight simply wouldn't have been put out for us to view.

I really do wonder sometimes whether some folk are more interested in getting off on presenters than actually watching the boxing.

There's a good boxing match on tonight, I'm going to be able to watch it, I'm chuffed, I couldn't care about anything else surrounding it.

    I liked the coverage tonight.

  15. Sorry, that is rubbish.

It is only marketing people and guilible consumers who really see things that way.

When ITV brought boxing back a few ago they had an ad-break during most round breaks and some of the most tediuos build-up interviews ever. And yet despite this, they still got millions of viewers every week.

Most people do NOT care about production providing the content is good. UFC needs all the flashy gimmicks because they haven't broken into the general public conscience yet and, truth be told, they never will.

There is a huge demand for boxing in this country and all people demand for their attention is good, compeitive fights.
