Coverage/show was very good. picture quailty was ok.
Who cares about Keys lack of boxing knowledge hes there as a presenter(quite a good 1 actually!) not a pundit, and who gives a monkeys about the quality of the adverts- ffs.

A good fight is a good fight, just the other week I found myself watching the Vic Darchinyan fight in Armenia and the production sucked big time, some of the worst I have ever seen. But I love Vic so I still enjoyed it.

But at the same time I am just saying that when I am watching sport on TV and specifically Boxing, I want a high quality of production because it adds to the spectacle, it adds to the prestige, atmosphere.

When I watch Boxing I want numerous different camera angles that show the action from different vantages, I like good lighting so that you can see the sweat on the canvas, I want the Ring to look sleek and look like it has been made from the highest quality of material available, I want a crowd that is revved up crowd from start to finish and is baying for blood, I want to watch something that feels prestigious and important and at the moment I don't get that feeling with Box Nation.

I agree. But, I expect the pundits to be critical of a house/home fighter if he has put in a poor performance.

Degale should have got picked apart, he has been hyped to **** (me included), but that Pole was average and he nearly stopped Degale - shocking performance by Degale and Wazza needs to get a grip on Degale career before it is too late.

I'm really surprised on a boxing forum people are actually upset about "production values". Jesus wept, it's as bad as the constant whining for a HD channel. Personally I would rather the money went in to securing big fights than extra strobe lighting in the studio.

Fair enough, but when I tune into watch a boxing match I just tune in to watch just that, a boxing match, I tune in to watch the fight.

Its been going for well over a century, I've been watching it 30 years. I'm sure it'll see out another 40 years and out live me.

I think there has a been a fair amount of brainwashing going on in this country, for decades now, that has led to some believing that anything that isn't on SKY is automatically bad.

    Repeat after me:

SKY good - anything else bad. SKY good...

I've even seen people on here rubbish boxing being shown on terrestrial TV for free in favour of SKY...

    There's certainly truth to that.

People think the £80 a month they pay for Sky, HD, multiroom etc should automatically cover all the boxing thats shown in the UK.

That may have used to be the case but times have changed and its no good hating on the competition in the hope it will just go away.

    (Rant over:lol:)

What the ****? You're getting quality match-ups for free and you start this hate thread? ****in' clown shoes.

    Watch Golf.

  14. Boxnation may not get 100,000 but putting on **** fights with top of the range production is a lot less likely to get to that level than putting on great fights with **** production.

People simply don't care about the production. Tyson Fury wouldn't get millions of viewers on Channel 5 if they did.

  15. Well said.

The future of boxing is not in any serious doubt because of tv production standards.

Is it still the case that UFC refuse to reveal their PPV figures? They may have all the latest gimmicks but boxing is still mainstram.

How many of your wives/girlfriends/mothers/grannies can name the current star of UFC and how many know Amir Khan?
