Then boxing will go somewhere else. Back to Sky most probably. Its not the be all and end all of the sport.

Sorry but I thought it was fine, room for improvement but overall I thought it was a sign of good things to come. Give them a bit of time (which is free anyway) and I'm confident it will get a lot more 'professional'.

Wow this didn't half kick off....

OK I stand by my original points. The production is poor. That said as long as they keep showing fights like Bellew-Clev and Walsh-Appleby i'm happy.

Yes their not charging just yet- and their showing international boxing which is brill but in the very near future they are going to be and as you guys get more and more accustomed to having a boxing only channel- i'll be very, very suprised if they can maintain this kind of quality.

In addition to this, consider the future of the sport- do you think any non-boxing fan is going to pay for it? You guys are thinking of a short term fix and in reality the longevity of the sport is in real danger here...

Anyone elses Sky+ overrun and not record even into the 2nd round of Hopkins-Dawson? :-( Luckily didn't miss much.

    Yes mine did......

Further to my thread... I know boxnation will read. So let me suggest this- part of the reason Setanta was such a hit was because they embraced us boxing fans. The outspoken ones on the internet whom certain promoters try their very best to mute and ignore.

If you can appoint someone with half a brain to act as a mediator between the fans and the channel then you will be far more likely to make far more people happy once the channel goes live for real.

Boxnation does have potential- but i'm interested to see if you show boxing for free in the day to entice new fans to subscribe? Will you be able to sell adverts on a pretty elitist channel? Will fans/ subscribers have any input to what is shown?

My thoughts are this... your further moving boxing away from the public eye- but if your to be succesful you have to attract new subscribers... how can you possibly do this once the channels been around 18 months down the line? No one will know who John Smith and Bob Jones are and as such whose going to want to watch them fight?

Why not appoint Andy Kerr to liase with fans on here and the other forums? Everyone likes him and he's a smart bloke... then at least we have some interaction.

That was one of my main concerns when the channel first started too mate and I think it's a very valid one. How will Joe Bloggs or John Doe know about all of these prospects coming up such as Heffron etc if they're only shown on a subscription channel? At this point in time it's great for us fans because we get British and international cards for a decent price but long term it'll be even harder to attract new fans to the sport imo

bunch of whining ***s, you'd rather watch it on a stream? it will get better as it goes along and they will iron out the kinks, it was a great fight and you got it for free for ****s sake

If Box Nation is to have any chance of succeeding it has to be exceptional, not only in the fights that it puts on but also the original programming and in the production. That was why I agreed with you and was harsh in my assessment of the production.

Exactly economically the whole country is obsessed with the here and now with no concern for the future and this is a pretty good example of that.

Look I'll watch boxnation and my critism is largely tongue in cheek its only homo's like HOF and that weird new bloke who start getting their glitter thongs in a twist that made the thread serious for their own agenda.

Who are the heads behind the channel and how much sway does big frank have? Is he a share holder? Or is he simply a promoter using the channel as a platform for his shows? Its not entirely clear.

You'd hope they're working on different ways to expose and promote these up and comers to the mainstream public. Maybe a link with other channels? Link with a newspaper? (The Sun thanks to Frank W?) I'm a big advocate of the channel, They're doing great considering they've been alive for a couple of weeks. I think it's superb value and a great way to watch Boxing but long term that's a major concern for me

Also share your thoughts on the last part as well, what exactly is Franks role in it all?

People who say that Boxnation is good bla bla and willing to pay a tenner plus whatever, we would of had these fights on normal sky plus all the other promoters except Fat Mick.

This is here entirely down to VVarren's lust for PPV, it didn't work with the Magnificent 7 cards, nor will this without a good advertising platform.

I will not pay extra for one sided undercards, a presenter who knows ****, Bunce waffling, repetitive adverts, having a promoter with strong control of the channel. It all seems to stink to me.

VVarren just turns his back on whoever, BBC, ITV, SKY, SETANTA... now this? If he was truly keen to give boxing and fighters a real platform he would put them terrestrial, if Mick can do it so can he!
