Yeah and at the weigh in they announced him like that as well. Looks like boxrec and showtime both ****ed up lmfao.
It's probably because most yanks are not intelligent enough to pronounce Olusegun, Ajose is much easier.
It was a mistake made in the UK when he came here and fought when he turned pro. His first name is actually Olusegun and his surname Ajose. Never made a big deal about as his Nigerian countrymen know the score. Not a big deal especially as the Brits find it easier to say Ajose rather than Olusegun.
That's because tonight he's gonna be turned inside out by Lucas... BR thought better change it in advance :bart
Azumah Nelson fought in the Commonwealth Games in 1978 under his 'original' name, 'Nelson Azumah'. As mentioned it is way to make things 'easier' for certain 'Markets' to identify with the fighter.
I was just responding to him. It was a serious debate about the name change on boxrec then he tries to belittle my guy hours from the biggest fight of his career. You cannot expect me to stand for that.
Yes, I can. It was obviously a joke, so let it go and stop being so serious about it. If Ajose can get it right tonight then you can have the last laugh.
Oh right, so it wasn't for the yanks benefit, it was the UK's **** up. I'm blaming John Prescott, **** knows why, Just am.
