Thats just bull****. He has yet to fight anyone at HW other than Bonin, and he immediately went back to Cruiserweight following that fight.

boxrec has a system where fighters who move up in weight lose a certain percentage of their ratings points. It just so happens Haye had a high enough rating at CW to still be ranked ahead of Povetkin despite losing some of his rating points when he moved up in weight. I'm sure they are not that far apart.

just checked. Haye and Povetkin are only 80 points apart. In comparison, Wlad is over 800 points ahead of Povetkin, more than double his points

Boxrec have a different method of calculating their rankings, so don't get too bent out of shape.

I check Boxrec for records but don't really care for their rankings.

Wow, really? I didn't know that :verysad.

Amazing some of the **** you can come out with if you attempt to numerically "calculate" rankings based on some obscure, fixed algorithm :nut.

basically, when Haye moved up to heavyweight he lost 26.5% of his points, but that was still enough to have him ahead of Povetkin. Pretty fair no?

Povetkin would destroy china chinned Haye. I can't wait for Haye to be exposed.

Learn the definition of china chin.

Also learn that Povetkin's power is average at best.

    Thankyou.

come on people stop acting like it's an outrage. fighters move up in wieght to fight for titles for years, why is it only now that it's a disgrace

also we must take in the body of work haye had done at cruiser. you cant just heap him down at the bottom of the rankings becuase he won only 1 heavyweight fight becuase then he will be complaining

and another thing, rankings now are reset daily. where as the ring mag (the only ranking authority for a while) used to publish the rankings month after month.

the sanctioning bodies are exactly the same.

    Average at best?

A 75% knock out ratio, beterr than Sam Peter, Oleg Maskaev, Hassem Rahmen, or Andrew Golota, all of which are considered big punchers.

And he did it without padding his record with bums.

I would say he is an excellent attrition punhcer in the mold of Joe Frazier or Evander Holyfield, who doesn't wind up for the big one, but lands a lot of good shots.

Now that's some funny **** right there.

Haye does NOTHING in the division but talk smack and he gets in the ranking, Povetkin beats top fighters and wins a tournament not many gave him a chance in and EARNED a shot at Wladimir(the best in the division) yet he's rated below Haye?!?, never going to even LOOK at the Boxrec rankings anymore.
