I'm sorry my friend I can't be arsed rooting through ratings from back then. I just don't care sufficiently. Besides, those ratings frequently serve the interests of big players in the 'sport' with ppv's to sell.

I do recall when the fight was made, I remember watching the Seferi and Pianeta fights and what we saw was not the 3rd best HW fighter in the world. He was a shell of the fighter we saw in Dusseldorf and he still wasn't right in the Staples centre.

The point is Whyte and AJ lost to lesser fighters then Wilder did.

They also lost to more fighters. Wilder only has lost to one fighter, the very best fighter that is.

You're the one who brought up where Fury was rated at the time. I told you where Fury and all of them were rated at the time, and now you don't want to talk about ratings. (Of course, you don't.)

Wilder has a better resume than Whyte.

    Then. Now.

Also I think it should have been very obvious even when Fury came back that Fury was the guy with the most potential.

To me that has always been the case.

    I tried to say I didn't care,
I'd rather sit in the dentists chair,
I think I've said all there's to say,
    About the merits of Deontay,
You've backed this fella from day one,
But it's past time now to move on,

See the point made to you further back about his level of opposition. He fought second rate and past prime opponents and stuffed his resume with showreel KO's to try and turn him into a PPV star. Face it, he was carefully matched time after time and they thought they were being careful again when they picked the fat mess wobbling around the ring against Pianeta.

How times have changed in just a few short weeks; forum-frothing over Wilder or Whyte, the latter never a world champion as we know. When once the Bronze Bomber's name was held up against the bright lights of Joshua, Fury or Usyk, now it's Whyte, Ruiz and Joyce.

Mind you, a fit and fresh Wilder puts Whyte to sleep...

Not when we're talking Wilder and Whyte
Compared to the Bomber ... Dillian's fighting Shyte.

If you could not see Fury’s skills and potential at the time that’s on you.

Wilder had to fight AJ or Fury. And Fury always was the better guy. Always was always will be.

As usual, blinkered by your biases.

Again, this is why it's a waste of time talking to you on this topic, you're incapable of engaging honestly.

    Possibly.

But they both lost to better fighters than Wilder has ever beaten... If he'd fought that level of competition regularly and only lost to Fury then you might have a point, but he hasn't and you don't.

Dude. We're comparing Wilder and Whyte.

You're bashing Wilder for fighting Fury when Fury was rated #3 by RING (and was still their champ when the year began). And for fighting him when he was the #1 contender. And fighting him, apparently, when he was the World Champ.

Whyte signed to fight tje unrated Wach after Wach lost to Szpilka and Bakole.

Whyte signed to fight the unrated Chisora (the first time) after he lost to Pulev ... and the second time after he lost to Kabayel.

Whyte signed to fight #7 Povetkin (and got knocked out) after Povetkin drew with Michael Hunter. Povetkin didn't even win.

    Who'd Fury lose to again?

And since you can't look at who they fought recently, now you're bashing who Wilder fought early in his career?

Whyte may have had as many fights and a better record than Wilder if Whyte hadn't been BANNED FOR TWO YEARS early in his career for using PEDs.

    Wilder has a better resume.

    There is no argument.

    DONE.

    Probably fair.

But potential is one thing... Taking a fight expecting a seriously drained fighter with potential is still cherrypicking however you want to slice it.
