The delusion of Calslappy fans continues through the decades. By the year 2050, Joe will have become a top 15 p4p all timer, all while never having to leave the comfort of Wales except to have close fights while getting knocked down by 44 year old American greats.

And Calzaghe toyed with Roy, literally.

When Roy had been brutally stopped a bunch of times. And he Still.dropped Joe within a round.

If RJJ was that great he wouldn't have been brutally stopped a bunch of times. Bit of a glass cannon, something to be taken into account. Calzaghe always came back from any setback to win.

Who is better that Calzaghe @168 and could honestly beat him fair at that weight?

@175 is another story but @168 I think he’s the man.

Jones Jr in his prime but Calzaghe had the longevity in the division to claim the number one spot.

You actually think RJJ wasn't that good?

I'm not on about that. You talk about him like he was mediocre.

Picking up on your point that he was "brutally stopped a bunch of times".

    You did say that right?

To me getting "brutally stopped a bunch of times" is an indication of a flaw in a fighter, what do you think?

And it doesn't matter it all came when he was past prime?? Common knowledge that his move back down to 175 from HW pretty much ruined him. Hasn't been anyone who was old who could jump up and DOWN and be fine.

I don't know about top 25 but someone who is argueably one of the best 2 or 3 SMW ever deserves
some respect. Especially as he trained in a garage with his father wasn't a boxing guru as his trainer.

Really liked this post. Im not sure he is 25th all time, but he was a special fighter who does not get the credit he deserves IMO.
