Confusion around Shannon Briggs: Was Doping in the play with its comeback?

The former WBO world champion Shannon Briggs after his clear defeat 2007 against Sultan Ibragimov in December dared this yearly a comeback. Its goal is still to be become undisputed world champion in the heavyweight. The victory against Marcus McGee should be a first step into this direction.

The structure opponent McGee did not have as expects a chance and went in the first round through a body hit KO. But now the result on the box result page was modified “boxrec” into so-called “NO a Contest”, the fight remains thus without valuation.

As reason it was indicated that Briggs on an illegal substance one would have tested positively. Which means it concerns, is so far not well-known. Yesterday however the rumor spread that the New Yorker commission had made an error and had taken the judgement back. This was not officially confirmed however yet, why the confusion is accordingly large now. Clearing-up probably gives it in the next days…

For boxing no. But the Olympic committee considers marijuana as performance enhancing for shooting and accuracy sports. This is because it is supposed to calm your nerves and make your hand more steady. Now how much if at all it really does help I have no clue but that is one sport where it is considered a PED.

Briggs has asthma, maybe weed helps with that. It's prescribed medication for some kinds of illness.
