    #BLIND SHOUT ALERT#

As you can tell, up until about half an hour ago, I had never heard of this guy, but after seeing him against Shane Tenney, I truely believe that 'Luscious'(a nickname I've annoited him with, hopefully it'll stick) Leduan Barthelemy shall be the most decorated professional out of the three Barthelemy brothers(others being former Gold medalist Yan, and Rances), after the 21 year-old Cuban made his debut in Miami against the aforementioned Tenney in February of this year.

Two years ago, the Barthelemy brothers left Cuba in search of personal freedoms and professional championship goals, and why can't that be a realistic happening for super-bantamweight Leduan? Sure, I'm only basing it off the only fight available to view from his lone two against a then 0-2 fighter, but he has got, erm, some of the tools required to make it to the top. “We know that if you sacrifice yourself every time you work out, the results in the fight will be very positive(he's got dedication, clearly. Check number one).”

Here he is against Floridian Tenney:

Not a bad debut performance I think, he's certainly got that typical Cuban attribute of always looking extremely calm in the ring. Seems to be able to keep things at his pace quite well, he automatically takes hold of centre-ring and doesn't relinquish it, but still maintains range with a nice, southpaw, range finding jab, and clinches whenever the opponent attempts to step it up a gear, leaning his weight on Tenney at the same time.

He kept his lead foot on the outside of his opponents for the most part, but maybe ambled to the left a bit too much for my liking, still though, he only seemed to be doing it in order to enhance the power behind his laser-straight left hand, which was pretty impressive. He's also got quite a sneaky left uppercut, and he knows how to throw it. He unleashes it in almost bolo-form, starts from the top with it but comes right under when he reaches full effectiveness/power/leverage.

The right hook he ended it with was rather impressive, very well-timed, and thrown at the same time as evading a jab all in one fluid movement. Good signs for the future. And evidently it was, as in his next fight he stopped Anthony Fraguada, with another second round TKO.

It's all looking like it'll be onwards and upwards for Cuba's most dangerous missile, as it appears to be the case that when he times his ascent to the pinnacle of the division many of the top fighters who reside there will be gone. Fresh blood will soon be needed at super-bantam, and Leduan's the next Dracula.

Not exactly a bold shout but Javier Fortuna of the Dominican Republic looked the goods blasting decent young journeyman Derrick Wilson (of sparking Charles Huerta fame) around for 8 rounds on the Martinez V's Dzindziruk undercard.

Whilst looking for the worst potential Nathan Cleverly opponent I could find and deciding it was Marcus Vinicius de Oliveira (ranked number 6 by the WBO) I looked him up on Youtube and stumbled across Jackson Junior, the guy who smashed him in 1. He has a record of 8(7)-0-0, no idea what his age is but he trains in Sao Paulo under Servilio who is a former Gold Medalist. He's fighting Pedro Otas 23(19)-0-0 who has KO wins over Heavyweights (**** Brazilian ones) for the Brazilian Light Heavyweight Title on the 29th so I'm guessing we will see what he's made then.

Would like to see more straight punches but he creates counter punching opportunities with good head movement and looks like a ferocious puncher. If he gets active and has the right backing I could see him making a splash on the world scene.

OK, I've seen him before, but haven't really followed his career. Won the France featherweight title in his 8th fight, has fought in America and is unbeaten in 9. Main reason why I'm posting this guy is so I can put up this vid of his one round shoot-out with Jorge Cordero:

    Certainly is all action though.
