http://www.secondsout.com/columns/thomas-hauser/boxreccom-boxings-indispensable-website2 an interesting article on boxrec. I think it such a great website i am always on it. I love using it for old cards and seeing who was fighting on the undercard. What's everyone opinion on it and how regularly do u use it Also what do u look for>
Very useful. I too like going on and checking out old fight cards I was at to see who on the undercard I paid no attention to but is now a top level fighter.
i do the same, its brill for that. Like yestaday looking at mayweather v hatton. On this undercard it was danny garcia second fight and danny jacobs debut.
BoxRec is good but I wish the schedule was done a bit better, the star system is ****e and the schedule is just full of things I'm not really interested in, the filtering system needs extra options. Of course, I'm obviously whining about something that is great and free but if I have one criticism it's that.
I use boxrec a lot to get a read of the undercards on fridays/saturday and if any are worth tuning into. I also like to see the career progression of some of my favorite fighters and think back to some of their fights and when they have lost.
Good for refreshing up on resumes. It helps one limit themselves from being a hypocrite during a serious debate and is also the easy go-to for responding to people making incorrect claims about opponents, dates, weights, etc.
