    All-time Top 10 vs Current Top 10
    Joe Calzaghe vs Lucian Bute
    Steve Collins vs Andre Dirrell
    Chris Eubank vs Carl Froch
    Sven Ottke vs Andre Ward
    Nigel Benn vs Mikkel Kessler
    Robin Reid vs Kelly Pavlik
    Fulgencio Obelmejias vs Robert Stieglitz
    Victor Cordoba vs Glen Johnson
    Frankie Liles vs Dimitry Sartison
    Thulani Malinga vs Arthur Abraham

if you want to know how bad the history of the super middle division is, all you need to do is look at these match-ups. i think the current top 10 wins the majority of these fantasy fights. thoughts?

jones and toney are still active and won't be ranked in the 168 lb division anyway and g-man is ranked as a middleweight since he had more fights there.

Compared to the original 8 divisions 168 has a pretty short history. The IBF inaugurated the division in 1984. The division is just now coming into its own. Historically you can't compare 168 to any of the original 8 divisions. If the current trends continue, it will eventually become one of boxings most "glamorous" divisions, but that will take several more years.

Why are you using Boxrec's top 10? :huh Apply your own knowledge of the divison - if you have any that is - and come up with your own top 10 rather than this lazy attempt at a thread.

I would instantly pick Calzaghe over Bute, Eubank over Froch, Benn over Kessler, Liles over Sartison and Obelmeijas over Stieglitz aswell, so I don't see how today's top 10 wins the 'majority' of those match-ups.

Because boxrec's standings are based largely on your wins/loss ratio. Roy has several losses now so his current atg standing is low with boxrec. Calzaghe has so many points because he has points for winning and no demerits for losing. (Same with Mayweather btw)

  13. Why is froch and dirrell above ward and kessler? The four of them should also be above bute even aa ranks higher the bute in current top 10
