A human should over ride the matrix. How is Cheatnelo number 1? Lost a decision to GGG and then was dropped from the rematch for failing 2 drugs tests?

Based on how they come up with the numbers it makes sense. Nery has two wins of Yamanaka, one of them being by ko, who had a lot of "points". Berchelt's stoppage victory over Francisco Vargas and decision win over Miura did a lot for him. Horn has Pacquiao who should actually have more points than he does. I don't know what they were doing with him honestly. The problem is the system itself lol.
The rankings are based on accumulation of points. Canelo has simply been around a lot longer than Loma.
The point is to compare everyone else to them. If Loma or GGG or Crawford were 6’5” 240lb, do you think Wilder and Joshua would be champs? I reckon they wouldn’t. A true P4P rating says these are THE best fighters regardless of size. If Wilder was 5’9” 159, nobody would have ever heard of him. His success is strictly predicated on his size. On the other hand, guys like Loma and GGG’s success rely strictly on their superior skill and acumen as they are not physically imposing figures in their respective divisions.
@Tomato(e) Can is right — they have a complicated algorithm of calculating these ratings based on statistics.
Shockingly, their formula somehow has proper guys in the top 5. Nery, Bercheldt, and Horn being in the top 10 though is more laughable than 98% of what I see on this forum. Sooo, yeahhhhh... People seem to be out of touch in regards to Canelo. It's the hipster thing to downplay his accomplishments and cry he's "mainstream" in multiple ways. He is in that top tier with Lomo, Srisaket, Golovkin, and Crawford.
Nery tested positive in the actual build up to a title match and somehow faced no such punishment from anywhere. A lot of people still rank Tyson Fury and have for the last two years. Boxrec doesn't have rules like the Ring does with their Ring Title. I think that's what's confusing you. They only factor in-ring opponent credential and the result. Their ability to do that is highly questionable, certainly, but is what it is.
True, but when things get really ridiculous due to that they tend to manually adjust it. We have had some weird anomalies, like Fury shooting up all the way to #1 the day after the Wladschko fight, which they ninja-edited shortly after.
