It's just a list based on how many points the fighters have in their specific weight class.

    It doesn't mean anything.

Mosley isn't on it because boxrec does not list non-active fighters on it. Non-active in boxrec world means: has not fought in over a year. That may explain a couple of other names you mentioned not being on the list. However, active or not, Ricky Hatton has no business on any pound for pound list today, Nate Campbell is too faded, and I believe you are overlooking Felix Sturm a bit. Boxrec's ratings are simply formulaic and based purely on merit and past performance. The formula they used to use was MUCH worse. I believe they tweaked it a bit and are at least on the same planet now.

It's an unfortunate fact that when you design a system to be free of bias (as boxrec system should be) you may also create something free of accuracy!

Not worth getting worked up over mind

Boxrec's p4p list is always confusing.

only idiots think the calzaghe loss was contraversial, theres no contraversy in getting outlanded 3 to 1

No there isn't and there would be no controversy if that's what happened in this fight!

Calzaghe outlanded Hopkins 232 - 127, that's less than 2 to 1. Punch stats don't tell the whole story and Joe wasn't nearly as dominant in that area as you suggest. Although according to the stats I saw, Joe outlanded him in every single round.

Interestingly though, apparently Joe took until round 3 to land him first jab and bernard didn't land one until the second round!

joe landed more punches than anyone else against hopkins and clearly won the last eight rounds (if not the last 10 rounds).. and you admit a 2 to 1 land ratio advantage for calzaghe and out throwing and landing hopkins in every round.. and you think the decision was controversial?

No i was fully confident that Joe did win, I'm a huge calzaghe fan just wondered where the 3 to 1 stat came from, I don't thing the win was contoversial just don't see why we need to make **** up to prove either way

I'm happy with the decision, I don't agree with the judge who saw it the other way- Hopkins started well and stepped in with some beautiful straight rights but as you say faded and Joe took over.
