Luckily we have great overseas fights to keep us going - Tank v Garcia, Haney v Loma, Taylor v Lopez, Spence v Crawford, Beterbiev v Smith, Inoue v Fulton etc. A fight I’m really looking forward to as well is Maxi Hughes v Kambosos. On a British note there’s a couple of good competitive BT fights in Davies v Cunningham and McCann v Baluta coming up next month. Have Matchroom got anything lined up on UK soil? @DramaShow
This is true and they have needle with them now after the Wardley debacle. Not an outfit you want to fallout with because they can rip your schedule in half and worse.
Another cringeworthy post from our Matchroom cheerleader friend. The ‘British Forum couldn't hide their excitement’ is absolute gold. We are boxing fans, we just want good fights without the over hype and BS. That is all.
Sky are pulling out. They had a two year contract release. it was obvious when they never replaced Adam Smith. Im hearing they’re still doing PPV so probably 4 times a year. Apparently Tyson Fury’s deal with Frank is not with BT, but just with Frank so expect them to make an offer for each fight. The US deal with Top Rank isn’t affected
Davies Cunningham won’t be competitive but I will definitely watch. Davies has surprised everyone with how handily he beat Baluta. He’d probably beat Dennis McCann now too. Baluta McCann is scheduled for 12 but I think they might change it to 10. Uk Wasserman show headlined by Josh Kelly in Newcastle will be on DAZN on July 15. Also features a nice heavyweight bout between Steve Robinson and Franklin Ignatius. Matchroom have a great domestic bouts show in Sheffield on July 1 headlined by Dalton Smith. July 29 show will most likely be scrapped. A lot of those bouts will go onto the Joshua card to make it PPV worthy potentially on August 12. That means August 12 is essentially two cards piled into one. Wardley will fight on that date but probably not defend his British Title. Would be an overseas opponent before Wardley Adeleye at the end of the year. Hrgovic McKean would be chief support. Conway Udofia would also be on the card. Maybe Cash Williams too but I don’t think it would be on the Joshua card. August 19 Galal Yafai will headline a Nxtgen show in Birmingham featuring Solomon Dacres, Aaron Bowen and Muhammad Ali. In September Wood Warrington will take place, potentially at the City Ground, on September 9. Cordina will most likely defend his World Title against Zelfa Barrett in October. Cameron Taylor II (at 140) will happen in November at the 3 Arena. Gavin Gwynne will fight for the European Title on that card against Emiliano Marsili. Benn Eubank on September 23 in Abu Dhabi or a stadium in the UK if Benn is cleared. I presume Cash could be on that card against Williams. If Haney doesn’t sign with Matchroom, then Prograis Catterall will headline a card in Manchester in October / November. From some of the other fighters there will most likely be a card in London too. Billy Joe Saunders will return and be part of a card like that too.
Who’s headlining Aug 12? Does Benn v Eubank definitely doesn’t fill a stadium IMO. Dalton is a great lad, hope he puts on a top performance. I had freebies but my mate has his engagement party the same night. Don’t think Catterall will fight for a world title next.
Joshua headlining on August 12 against Whyte or Kabayel probably. Benn Eubank sold out the O2 in less than 10 minutes. It would do big numbers in a stadium most definitely. Dalton Smith will probably fight a 3rd time towards the end of the year. He’ll vacate the British Title after beating Maxwell. If Haney Prograis doesn’t happen then Catterall will fight Prograis next for sure. Zhang Joyce II will take place on September 2. Anthony Yarde must also return soon.
Don’t forget though DS that PBC are ‘finished’ and only have a handful of crap fights and their fighters upcoming with nobody’s headlining like Spence v Crawford, Fulton in with Inoue and Canelo v Charlo. Very poor schedule.
This has nothing to do with US promoters. Take your agenda elsewhere. Inoue Fulton is a Top Rank show anyway. They are also only the UK shows that I know of that will take place between now and the end of the year, ignoring shows in the US, Mexico, Monaco and Australia. Frank Smith and Eddie Hearn seem confident that he’ll be cleared within two weeks. Will be interesting to see the outcome.
My agenda? Last time I looked Fulton was with the PBC and I clearly stated their shows as well as their boxers which he is one of. You want to talk about an agenda, how on earth can any boxing fan be hoping, as you seem to be, that Conor Benn will be cleared within 2 weeks? The guy deserves a lengthy ban for what he has done, it’s disgusting. You don’t play boxing, people die in the ring. You need to wake up. You seem to be a really crappy person with your take and backing of the whole Benn farce. The only reason he hasn’t been banned yet, is because he has spent so much on lawyers fees. Now I know that you are probably backing him due to your ongoing obsession with Matchroom, however either way when respected people in boxing at all levels including legends of the game are saying it’s disgusting I think you are clearly the exception with your immature views.
It’s only right if he does get that. Sub human scum, still talking about knocking people out. This guy is unbelievable, the Benns wasted their money on his private education.
