Many variables at play to be fair. At the end of the day all the major promotion outlets screw the fans over. It is what it is.
Wrong. Murtazaliev has been the mandatory since a November 2019 win over Jorge Fortea in their title eliminator. He has since fought four times, all buried on Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) non-televised undercards and on at least three occasions with a step-aside package to allow Charlo to fully unify the division.
Dylan Cheema the sikh lad lost again on saturday to a journeyman again, who schooled him, Cheema is possibly the worst televised boxer I've ever seen. and Rhys Edwards should have lost to Brad Foster Seems like Ben Shalom needs help with his signings. He has no eye for talent whatsoever.
Think the only reason he was signed is that he won one of those Boxxer Breakthrough tournaments. Wasnt the deal with those that the winners got some kind of short term deal? what happened to those tournaments? I was at that show in Coventry, 8 competitors in 3 round fights, QS's,Sf's & final all on same night, it was a really good quick format and gave a platform for some of the fringe domestic fighters who dont normally get a tv gig.Shame if they have stopped then but it must of been a year plus since they have done one.
This content is protected Don't want to start a new thread as it hasn't been announced so please don't say I'm bumping up old threads. This would be great to see both on the same card, potentially at Selhurst Park due to Buatsi and Riakporhe? The show would definitely be PPV though. I would prefer it if they were on separate non-PPV cards to be honest, but Sky seem desperate to stage PPVs and this would fit the bill.
This content is protected Lawrence Okolie against Rozanski on May 24 for the WBC World Bridgerweight Title. A Boxxer co-promotion. Great that it won't clash with Taylor vs Catterall II.
A response to a thread not touched since Nov 23 - glad to see your agenda still alive and well. Boxxer still living rent free in your mind
I don't see this being PPV worthy even with both fights on the card - stadium, sponsors and TV should surely cover the bills. If it was a Matchroom show back in the day they'd be getting slaughtered for making it PPV. Understand Sky is desperate for PPVs to cover its backside on boxing coverage but maybe they should have got a better promoter. Those moans aside, I'd probably watch it in the pub and get 4 pints for the PPV fee, probably good fights!
It will definitely be PPV if they are on the same card. They would get too much stick for putting Buatsi vs Yarde on PPV standlone so I presume they will try to stack the card to try and make it seem like it's PPV worthy. We know Sky are desperate for PPVs as they were recently ready to put Taylor vs Catterall II on PPV until DAZN put the money up. I would definitely watch it either way. I think Buatsi would beat Yarde to be honest but I know a lot of people think the other way. Yarde hasn't fought anyone decent since losing to Beterbiev which was 14 months ago. Not at all. This is a rumoured big event for Boxxer that people would be interested in. I didn't want to start a new thread as it hasn't been confirmed, only rumoured. This thread is about Boxxer so posted it here, I didn't want to put it in the "Bad Press for Boxxer" one either.
