A side note... At the gym yesterday working out on the HB, some MMA guys come in and start on the other HB's. Technique was so bad, even I was giving them tips, and suggested they talk to my coach. The guy said "I have a coach, I just need a "mitt man" to hold the mitts for me." My coach, who owns the gym and was standing there, asked him to throw 1+2+3+4 at the bag, asked me to point out the mistakes and before long..the whole MMA team was standing there learning how to properly throw a hook...of which none of them had a clue about 10 mins prior...and these are guys who have been in the cage. They were all throwing arm punches and not pivoting into the punch, which is where the power comes from. Its pretty sad, but its something that seems typical in MMA. None of those guys could win a fight with a C+ level pro. After hearing of the possible Silva/RJJ fight, I was confused why RJJ would want that fight, but now I know why. Its a shoe in. Silva has so many fundamental issues, that there is no way he can make up 30yrs of experience and muscle memory Roy has of doing it correctly. Its going to be great publicity for Roy. Sure, Roy's technique isn't textbook, but he his a gifted athlete who is able to get away with a lot because of his natural ability. My 2 cents..
WTF that sparring partner was bad and i mean really bad. Silva has no ****ing power in his punches at all.
He does if it's an MMA bout, but not much of one in a pro boxing bout. Like I said his boxing record is 1-1.
