That's about all I hear now, how Taylor was "a perfect matchup" for Pavlik.

    I never here WHY though.

    Discuss?

He likes to retaliate making him easy to drag into wars. He also seems to wear down, which is great for a pressure fighter. He has good footspeed but doesn't use it, keeps his left hand low (great for straigh right hands) and stands in front of you for long periods while doing nothing.

Yeah, these were extremely evident factors prior to the bout that I know for certain that you, me and especially Brooklyn had down to the exact details, I don't see where some of these people said 'Pavlik's tailor made for Taylor'.

Pressure is good for Taylor guys?

You pretty much summed up right there, I think Taylor could of won the fight on his boxing skills alone but I guess he wanted to please all 100 fans that came out to see him that night.

Taylor is a reactive boxer who has limited pro boxing skills, he can;t fight in the inside, his footwork and balance is not the best and he slumber in drop his left hand after jabs, when tire drop his left even more, comes in with his chin in the air...he basically depended on his speed and great physical talent...but after throwing so many looping punches that were misses it was goping to affected him in the alte round, he stay in Pavlik wheel house for the entire fight getting hit square a number of times, on each round and the damage accumulated until once again he came in with his chin inthe air..this time Pavlik was not missing...

the misconseption was jt was this graceful boxer, which he is not and never was.he was a boxer puncher that loved to fight, he had good speed and strong jab but he loved to bang.and kelly is a boxer punchers as well, the diff is he can hit harder then taylor and take harder shots from taylor.

jt needed to box and get in and out but hes not that type of fighter, what happen to him is what i said what would always happen if he fought a true mw with power that liked to fight.

he wanted a othrdox fighter that came to fight and he got one, no more jr mw to beat up on or look bad in front of.he got what he asked for.

Taylor had his moments during the fight. I can't say that I think a Pavlik victory is a sure thing in a rematch.

Taylor was winning the fight until he got caught with one big shot. He just about knocked Pavlik out in round two, and did knock him all over the ring. Taylor was beating Pavlik to the punch every time he threw. Pavlik just has excellent power and he landed flush.

Having recently rewatched round 7, I truly believe that Taylor was having stanima problems. Pavlik was becoming a lot more accurate and was actually outjabbing Taylor. And behind his Pavlik's left jab is his power punch straight right waiting for the opportunity to strike.

Taylor was losing. His hand speed had done him well up to that point and won a couple of rounds and nearly won the fight in the 2nd but he was weakening and Pavlik had adjusted his technique relying on his jab to keep Taylor at a "safe" distance. It was only a matter of time before Pavlik wore him down and began landing the big shots.

Turned out it didn't take that much time at all.

If Taylor wants to win the rematch he'll face a more experienced Pavlik who likely won't be careless again like he was in the 2nd. He'll need to find answers to his own stanima problems ( Pavlik sets a very fast fight pace ) and to Pavlik's jab which quite honestly is better than his. If anything the rematch will be a far more difficult fight for Taylor than the one he just lost.
