It had that kind of vibe to it. Weird to see him blame the stoppage on the corner when it was plain as day he pulled the plug on the fight, too. Hope he's alright and that he bounces back...I may be disappointed by tonight, but there's still good fights out there for him.

Not trying to discredit Loma at all but I think Walters didn't come in mentally prepared for this fight. After only a few rounds it looked like he wasn't trying to actually win it.

I totally agree. Duran and Vitali came back from things like this, and Walters can do the same. Hope things go well for him.

His whole demeanor at the weigh in was condescending. He didn't have the eye of the tiger and there was no fire burning in his eyes. He was skinning and grinning with Loma and taking pictures like Loma was his long lost brother. Now, don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with being cordial and respectful but he like a lap dog and when I saw that Sh#t, I knew he wasn't coming to fight.

He didn't look right at all. Just wasn't sharp.

I'm genuinely confused. Lomachenko was unanimously ducked at 126lbs. He only moved up because of this. Now he's just been looking eerily Great.
Nicholas Walters is going to have to live with this for the rest of his life and it's going to be the toughest thing ever. If I were him I'd retire from boxing and live by the narrative 'I just got fed up of training like that and not enjoying my life anymore'. Max Kellerman did say that from normal culture, that's acceptable but from boxing tradition, that's basically cowardice.

I noticed the friendliness too- in hindsight I see where you're coming from. I'd probably have had more concern about it if Walters and Nonito didn't have a bro-fest, too. I figured he'd turn it on once the fight start, but it just never happened.

He knew he couldn't win and wasn't prepared to take punches for another 5 rounds to prove it. I was very surprised when people had this a close fight. The skill level was always miles apart. Walters is still swinging now!

Loma is Loma and you can't take that away from him. He is a master tactician and his skills is by no means in question. What is in question is that whole fight. When have you ever seen two fighters stop in the middle of a fight and just stare at each other for dam near a minute? That's unheard of. Why is Walters running his mouth at the weigh in talking about yeah we gon make this money like 300,000 is some real money for what he does. I don't wanna get into no conspiracy crap but Walters need to be kicked in his ass.

He just looked lost and confused in there. A passive, dispirited performance. I think Lomas reflexes had him frozen. Pretty bizarre fight. Hopefully the axeman can redeem himself in the future.

He never came across as being that weak minded. He wasn't taking a beating either. He walked through everything that Lomachenko hit him with, then after he quit he claimed he was badly hurt by a punch to the temple. He sured didn't wobble, do the stanky leg, or seem buzzed. Wonder if any outside influences had a bearing on his showing tonight. Hi-Tek was gonna be a tough night for him either way, but he sat back and really didn't even put forth much effort most of the time. His people knew coming in, he wasn't going to win a boxing match. He needed to pressure Lomachenko to have a chance to win. Walters gets in there with mannerisms that seemed to express being afraid. Reminded me of the Clottey vs Pac fight, except he quit. Weird sh!t. This was a really sh!tty fight.

he should not be given any noticeable oportunity. nobody will forget what he did and how. he is most prolly done with boxing on a decent/big stage. what a shame to go out like that.

He was being thoroughly routed and couldnt get his timing down on his OH R as Loma slipped backwards into range of it and had to settle for a L hook to the elbow as his only weapon.
Not much of a money punch vs a guy not known to be weak downstairs.

He'll come back at 135, massacre one of the half dozen posers up there and be right back to his old ways of chopping people down.

MOF......him and Mikey would be a great fight in Walters 2nd fight at LW.
