Look guys these alphabet groups have just become ridiculous, a few latest instances are the WBA's three champs in some weight classes. The title stripping of Bradley and Clottey and the sanctioning of Khan - Kotelnik! And the list goes on! Can anyone make a website where we can sign a petition asking for the WBO, WBA, WBC and IBF organisations to be dissolved. Guys like Jose Sulaiman are messing up the sport; we all know it so lets do something about it! Suggestions welcome.

at the end of the day these alphabet titles are often the only way for lesser known quality fighters to get their names out there. By fighting your way up the rankings in hope of earning a mandatory title shot.

    I'm all for that.

We need the belts right now.

If something was to be done about the Alphabet Soup it should have been done in more afluent times. Their position is unasailable now.

Think of what ridding the world of the strap "world" titles would do to the men in light-fly.

If you got rid of alphabet straps and went with one champ you would be affecting three guys in each division. I'm all for area titles such as european north american etc etc but calling guys like Berto or Valuev 'world' champions is ridiculous!

Valuev is a fraud and should be removed from record books in general, I don't even consider him a sportsman let alone boxer, the guy is zoo material.

Berto can't be blamed though, the #1 champion in that division retired so it all becomes vacant, these guys can do nothing but carry on fighting and unify. Not that any of them have been attempting that but I'm sure they will get there.

hey i aint blaming the fighters. All they're doing is trying to raise their profile, earn money and get a legacy ( in some cases) Its the system thats wrong IMO but, looks like some people dont agree! Lol

I think if there was only one regulating body too much power could end up in the hands of a few individuals and it would be too open to corruption, and even if there world title fights have lost their meaning, unification fights are probably bigger on average than anything you'd get with just one champion.

Having 4 is ridiculous especially with all the 'super champ' and 'emeritus champ' bull****, but at least they act as a bit of a check on each other.

its not up to us to boycott its up to the tv networks they and only they hav the power to make change in this sport if they refuse to show fights involving any kind of alphabet belts then the fighters wont work with these corrupt mafioso like pricks.

the money in boxing comes from tv networks

the alphabet organisations aren't going anywhere, they make too much money from all their belts and half-decent boxers like to claim their world champions.

I agree they're bad for Boxig. Obviously they're good for fighters who in any other era would just be contenders to be called champions now, but that just discredits them all together.

    I'd sign the petition!

The WBC and WBA seem to be the worst now too, with all the crap they pull all the time. They're supposed to be the prestigious ones! Ring Magazine should be the title that fighters seek and nothing alse. People may say it can't be trusted because GBP own it..... but tell me ONE fighter from GBP in the top 10 P4P list who don't deserve to be there at all and I'll shut up!
