I don't see that theres a real conflict in between being a promoter and a TV station owner like there is with being a manager and a promoter.

Cunningham,Huck,Am Tournament,Kessler would not be on Sky and even if they picked up Hopkins/Dawson you know it would be shown on delay at 11am the next dayatsch

 

id rather pay for box nation than give primetime any coin, charging for fights that should and would normally be on normal sky!!! most people i knw only have sky for the football, all the films are repeats and you can download dvd rips 6 months or even sooner from the net, so sports otherwise what are u gonna subscribe to....**** the rest of the bollocks exept sport imo.......it might even end up that box nation end up monopalising the whole boxing scene and take it away from sky, who knows......i think its a good thing.

i just dwnload fights that i cant be ****ed with staying up for or nobody fancys a late night sesh when we all chip in and buy it, id rather just watch em for nout in the morning......

 

Yes we would. I've seen the schedule, and a lot of the bouts scheduled, we would probably get on Sky sports.

It's funny that no one is talking about deciding factors being based on commentary, HD etc, because this seemed to be the reasons people didn't want to buy Primetime PPV's, yet no one is talking about it here and are happily willing to spend a tenner a month for BoxNation.

I'll pay for BoxNation, it looks good, but loads of people have made themselves look stupid by saying it's excellent, even though they haven't brought up the factors that they bought up with Primetime.

 

Two live shows a week, Bunce boxing hour and 6 hours of boxing every day - now how the **** can you possibly compare that to the scenario of Primetime charging £15 for Floyd-Ortiz!!! Wise the **** up!!

Half of Frank's own shows wouldn't have been on because he hasn't got the dates, the World Am's wouldn't have been on Sky, Cunningham's fight wouldn't have been on Sky, Hopkins' might have only been on Sky delayed, The Bunce hour wouldn't be on Sky, no daily news show on Sky etc.

The channel is also going to be showing the full cards, not just 1 main event and an undercard bout.

People aren't talking about commentary and the studio because they've put together a much better team than Ricardo and Mccullough.

People are talking about HD. Boxnation say they're working on it.

A tenner for a whole month of boxing compared to fifteen pounds for 2 hours of Amir Khan nuthugging?

I know what I'd spend my money on and you can't even say 'but it's the quality of fights' because Khan/McCloskey and Khan/Judah is no better than what BoxNation has got on it's opening weekend alone.

It's good for the sport.

Sure it's not really ideal because it won't be building fighters to a really casual audience, but this isn't the only place showing fights. Sky will pick up what they can and Channel 5 may well remain interested in Tyson Fury.

If you actually learnt how to read, you'd know I'm not talking about what's ON the channel, I'm talking about whether it's HD, whether the commentary will be any good, etc etc.

These were the major things that stopped people from buying PPV's, but they aren't bought up here. You're basically paying £10 more, a month, for a lot of stuff you were going to get on Sky.

Yeah, BoxNation gives you a fair bit of other stuff, but you're just getting excited about a lot of things that you would have been able to see anyway!

It basically feels like paying for a £10 PPV a month, which will now go on top of my Sky Sports Subscription.

There's a lot of good things, but don't let that cloud your brain. You'll be spending £10 more every month.

 

Will be fantastic if they buy plenty of classic fights, got bunce doing his thing, and fights such as Hopkins-Dawson would have cost £9.99 on its own with Sky not really buying big American fights and Primetime being scum.
