There are better options than Cotto who Pacquiao destroyed and Margarito who can not get licensed in the U.S. Pacquiao needs to fight Berto, Williams, Angulo, Bradley or Martinez....hell I would rather see him fight Cintron before Cotto or Margarito. At some point fans need to stand up and not take this crap, if we the fans don't buy these Top Rank exclusive fights then maybe it will stop. I am disappointed in Pacman not being more active in selecting his opponents, maybe he is a due boy for Arum like Mayweather claims. Why else would he sit idle and allow greedy Arum to keep all the money in house at the expense of his reputation, because even the biggest Pacquiao fan does not want Cotto or Margarito. Boycott this garbage even if its on HBO. I am writing the executives at HBO sports to voice my concern, fellow pugilist fans should do the same.

Boycott Pac vs. Cotto, but he needs to fight Cotto?

Will you boycott Mayweather for ducking Pacquiao?
If so (I assume) will you be writing HBO to voice your concern and tell fellow pugilist fans to do the same.

I'll watch but I'm not going to pay for it. I don't think pac really care who he fight as long as he get his money (except Marquez). Roach and Arum are obviously cherry picking his opponent. He should be fighting Marquez,Berto,William or Bradley

I didn't have an issue with the choices for Paq.'s last few fights. Even though they were in-house fighters, but I don't like the idea of Arum not looking for fights outside his stable ,if Mayweather falls through. Margarito does not deserve a fight with anyone . Martinez or Bradley would be some interesting fights.

I'd like to see him fight Bradley or Berto. It would be good fun to watch Pac fight as much as possible while in his prime. But I agree, **** the Top Rank opponents. And **** Floyd- I'm definitely boycotting him unless he fights someone worthy.

How is it that Margo doesn't "deserve" a fight w/Pac but he deserved a fight w/Mayweather???

I will not buy Pac vs. Margo. As a die hard Cotto fan, that would be tough, but I think out of principle I would find an internet stream.

I will only buy Mayweather fights in which I think he has a chance of losing. So if he's not facing Paul Williams next, I'm not buying it.

On the subject of who's actually been the most artful dodger in elite boxing, I like the below quoted comments section of Dan Rafael's article at

    http://espn.go.com/sports/boxing/blog/_/name/rafael_dan/id/5391633/arum-disingenuous-picking-pac-foe

    and I quote:

    "madbent3000 (7/20/2010 at 9:00 AM)
who cares for about joe cal. who did he fight that was alive dog. Pacman has been knockedout 3 times. I have seen the youtube videos. Floyd never. Who has Pacman beaten that was a live dog since his last fight with marquez? Lets be real here. Pac DUCKED zahir Raheem after raheem destroy Morales and fought morales, duck edwin valero, and Marquez for a 4th fight and fought david daiz, duck shane mosely, fought cotto after he lost to margocheato, ducked mosely and fought Hatton after he was knockedout by Floyd and beatenup by Luzcano. He ducked Marquez and Mosely and fought Clottey who lost to Cotto.

Lets be real. Nobody wants to see [pacquiao vs margarito or Cotto]"

    Unquote. :think

Thanks madbent3000 (7/20/2010 at 9:00 AM) for bringing up the case of Edwin Valero w.r.t. those Pacquiao clearly dodged/avoided; commentators tend to forget the one. Peace.

    IMO for Pac's next fight

    in terms of difficulty

    Bradley < Cotto < Margarito < < < Williams < Martinez

    in terms of money

    Bradley < < Cotto = Margarito = Williams = Martinez

I would like Pac to fight Williams or Martinez but I don't think he has enough motivations left for taking another bigger challenge.

    Here's a better idea.

Floyd picks up a pen and signs a GD contract.

Pacman can fight whoevr the hell he wants to. If you guys don't like who his next opponent will b, then don't buy the ppv. The same goes with mayweather. U see, I was the biggest mayweather fan on the planet, while still respecting pacquiao for what he has accomplished against his hand picked fighters as well. If there is one thing that mayweather and pac man's fans can agree on is that we both want to see them in the ring fighting against each other. At this point, they are both to blame. Pac walked away the first time, mayweather walked away the second time. We should boycott both of these guys, or fighters should not be allowed to make so much money. There should be a cap in place. If they don't fight, the **** them both.

I'm getting off work so I might not be able to debate tonight. I don' t recall ever saying that Margo deserves a fight with Mayweather. I don't think Margo should be able to box again after his tampering with his gloves.
